Some people come into your life to make it better. However, some just end up making it worse, NOT FOR YOU... but for themselves.
Well, Nicholas is no stranger to this.
Nicholas Marcellus is no trained assassin but he took up the job to put that on...

I blinked my already shut eyes upon hearing some annoying sounds around me. It was like someone was purposely blaring all the sirens of the world in my ears. I shifted a little in frustration, trying to block it at all costs. Nevertheless, it didn't make any difference. So, I opened my eyes in irritation and was about to shout at whoever it was but stopped immediately.
Looking around myself, I found myself in the middle of the footpath, covered with bushes. Cars were rushing everywhere as if people were too late for whatever place they had to be. Honks were blaring while cars were rushing at full speed.
Suddenly, I realized someone shift beside me. I turned my face just a little only to see Davina's head lying peacefully on my shoulder. She was sleeping like a baby. Her eyes were shut while her lips were slightly parted. I looked down at her while an unknown feeling blossomed in my heart, making way for a subtle smile on my lips. The feeling of euphoria erupted inside me, making all the dormant butterflies go wild in my stomach.

How come I never paid heed to this angel sleeping beside me?
How did I never know that she was capable of intoxicating even in an unconscious state?
Although, I stopped dead in my track as soon as I observed her shifting again. Even in sleep, she perfectly scrunched up her nose to the sound of the honks and the sunlight disturbing her. She tilted her head just a little and rubbed her nose against my shoulder. Instantly, fountains of adrenaline erupted in my veins, making me go numb for a second. Though unaware of her own actions, she had the ability to make me feel all the things that I had never experienced.
She looked so beautiful, yet so innocent.
As if realizing my gaze on her, she rubbed her eyes, only to blink them open. She looked in front of us and yawned. Suddenly, she jerked her head up and in my direction, as if touching me sent a shiver down her body. She looked at me with eyes wide open and blinked them a few times, as if to confirm my presence next to her.
"Good morning", I harrumphed, not knowing how else to react.
"Go-go-good morning", she stuttered, half in shock and half asleep.
"Looks like someone slept like a baby", I bit my lower lip, earning a surprised look from her.
She blinked quickly while her jaw dropped to the ground. It looked like she had seen a ghost right first thing in the morning. I narrowed my eyes at her and sealed my lips in a thin line. The shock was evident in her eyes while bafflement in mine.
"What?", I raised my brow at her reaction and shrugged.
"I-I didn't know you were capable of similes", she said, taunt very clear in her tone.
