growing up orphaned and sick, rei takahashi had no hope for a life he could live in the world. to everyone, it was either be a hero or be a civilian, but rei didn't see an option for either. he was destined to be stuck in bed, watching everything from afar.
his quirk is a late one because of his condition, eventually taking on the quirk mind bridge when puberty hit him, helping with his strength and getting him back onto his feet. upon realizing his quirk is a strong one, he enrolls into U-A where he thinks he'll be able to succeed as a hero like he'd always wanted. however, not trusted to be with the others as a normal classmate, he's assigned to a tutor instead to further his abilities.

initially being his private tutor, rei learned everything he knew from him, despite not getting along too well. their personalities clashes and fought with each other, aizawa was tired and straight forward and rei was adventurous and naive, searching every corner and wanting to do things his own way, impatient with the way he wanted to lead his life. they especially didn't get along because of their similar traumas, having lost people in the past and being forced to work alone, but until they come to terms with their similarities and bond over it, they don't get along.
SIDE REALTIONSHIPS.
shoto todoroki; love interest- despite not being allowed in a classroom, he still met and talked to todoroki outside of class, during lunch breaks and after school. despite being a private, independent son of a bitch, rei thinks he enjoys his company.
