Chapter 5

Thursday came up surprisingly fast, but I guess it also made sense since I was busy handling Lily's kids and helping her out with other things! Today was the day I would finally help Lily start up the nursery and also the day I was going to hangout with Johnny! And this just made me realize how much of a busy day it was going to be.

I was munching on some breakfast, which of course was made wonderfully by Lily, when I got a text from Johnny.

Johnny: Hey! You still good for lunch today?
Y/N: Of course! Where and what time would you like to meet?
Johnny: There's this nice place called Mugyodong Bugeokukjib that I would like you to try. What do you think about meeting at 1pm?
Y/N: That works!
Johnny: Awesome, I'll send you the address :)

My eyes lit up with excitement. I'm really looking forward to trying out some food and seeing many parts of Seoul!

"What are you all happy about?" Lily looked over to me raising her eyebrow in suspicion. "Oh I'm just talking to a friend I met not too long ago, if it's alright with you, I'll be meeting him for lunch. He also promised me to take me around Seoul!" I replied back to only have Lily's eyes widen. "HIM?!? Who is this man and why are you just telling me this now??!!" Lily immediately scolded me. "Lily! He's just a friend and is being nice! I met him at the 7/11 I went to when I was staying at the hotel." I replied back holding back some giggles. "Besides I'm not looking for a relationship anytime soon."

I got up to take my plate to the sink as I had just finished my breakfast. "Yeah sure... whatever you say." Lily replied back with an annoyed tone. "What?" I replied back confused as to why Lily was so annoyed with what I said. "Don't you want to settle down? I've seen you with kids and you've ALWAYS talked about how much you dreamed to have your own family! Plus you already have finished college." Lily answered me. I didn't say anything I just continued to wash the dishes in the sink. I don't want to talk about this.... I felt a pain in my heart, but I brushed it off and walked back to my bedroom having had finished the dishes.

I made it to my room and closed the door behind me carefully before walking to my bed and plopping down on it. I grabbed one of the pillows on my bed and held it tight against me, wanting so bad for all my past memories to fade away.

Not too long later I heard a knock at my door. "Y/N.... It's Lily, can I come in please?" Lily said softly with a cautious tone. "Yeah." I said vaguely. Lily then opened up the door and walked over to my bed and sat on the edge looking at me. "Hey... I'm sorry I didn't mean to push you like that." Said Lily. "It's alright, sometimes it just sneaks up on me." I replied back giving her a small smile. Lily came closer and hugged me tightly, I immediately returned the hug. "Cmon, we should get started on that nursery!" I said happily.

Hours went by and next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the restaurant waiting for Johnny to show up. I happened to arrive a couple minutes early, but thankfully Johnny ended up arriving not too long after I did.

"Hey!" I smiled, waving to Johnny. Johnny gave me a small wave back and smiled. "Here, let's go inside you must be hungry!" He said. Johnny held open the door for me and I walked inside.

We were quickly seated and Johnny began to walk me through the menu. Once we picked our food from the menu, Johnny got hold of a waiter and ordered for the both of us.

"Wow it smells so good in here! The food looks amazing too!" I exclaimed with a bright smile on my face. "Just wait until you taste the food, I tend to come here pretty often because of how delicious it is!" Johnny replied.

"So what's the plan for the day?" I asked curiously as he did say he would show me around Seoul. "Good question, I kinda forgot to think about that..." He chuckled and thought for a moment. I giggled at the sight of him thinking, it reminded me of kids dreaming of what they wanted to be when they grew up. He then came back to reality and said, "How much do you like history?" "I actually love history, it intrigues me a lot!" I smiled. "Okay, I was thinking to show you a bit of the Korean Palace today. It's a popular place to visit among tourists, so I thought we would knock that off first!" He said. "Okay! Sounds like a plan." I replied back.

We continued to chat, getting to know each other better. I'm usually not very good with conversation, but something just clicked with Johnny! It felt like I was talking to a longtime friend. It made me feel happy I had someone else to look towards since coming into this unfamiliar country.

Not too long later, our food finally arrived. I was chowing down the food when I noticed something at the corner of my eye. I glanced over and I saw someone that looked just like the guy from the airport, or is it actually him. I felt my heart skip a beat. I suddenly forgot what I was doing and started to choke on my food. "Crap! I'm so stupid" I thought in my head. Johnny looked at me concerned, "Hey  Y/N are you alright?" I nodded and soon cleared my throat. Well that was embarrassing....

I noticed that the guy from the airport was seated at a table near Johnny and I. Our eyes soon met, I felt my cheeks warm as he gave me a sweet smile. Johnny then got nosy after watching this all go down and said, "So.... Y/N, who's the hotty?" My eyes went wide and my face flushed a darker color of pink. "Shush! I don't want him to hear you!" I whispered to him embarrassed. "Okay, but you have to tell me who he is don't leave me hanging here!" He pouted. "Fine! He's just a guy I happened to meet at the airport when I got here and I had an embarrassing moment with him! Okay? We're done here!" I quickly said and immediately stopped the conversation.

Once we were done eating, Johnny payed and we got up and walked out of the restaurant. Before we could get far, I felt someone rest their hand on my shoulder, stopping me from walking further. I looked back to see the same guy from the airport. My face immediately turned pink and my heart started to beat faster. The guy chuckled at the sight of me. "What's your name? I remember you from the airport" he asked. Oh great... he must've completely remembered the embarrassing stuff I did there. "Uh.. my name is Y/N..." I replied shyly, barely able to spit out any words. But inside I felt relieved because he was speaking English. "That's a beautiful name." He replied sweetly to me causing me to blush even more. "Can I take you out to eat sometime?" He asked. I tried to talk but I couldn't spit anything out because of how flustered I was. Johnny immediately butted in once again, "Yes! She would love to go out with you sometime!" Johnny said with a big grin on his face. The guy looked at Johnny, there was a look of jealousy on his face. "Who are you?" He asked with a narrowed look in his eyes. "I'm Johnny, a good of friend of hers, don't worry." He smiled. The guy's face relaxed a bit and then immediately focused his attention on me again. The guy brought out his phone tapped on it a couple times and gave it to me. I took the phone glancing up at him still shocked by what's going on. "Is it okay if we exchange numbers?" He asked with a hopeful look on his face. I shyly nodded and shakily typed my number into his phone.

The rest of the day went by pretty fast. Visiting the Korean Palace with Johnny was a fun experience. Although, I got constant teasing from him about the guy from the airport! Why does life gotta do this to me? Throughout the entire day I couldn't help but think about him.. the guy from the airport. Anyway... when I got home I helped Lily make dinner and in the process, got bombarded by many questions from her.

"YOU GOT A GUYS NUMBER???!!!" Lily squealed in excitement, causing me to cover my ears so I don't go deaf. "WHO IS HE??? IS HE HOT??! TELL ME!!!" I went up to Lily and put my hands on her shoulders, "LILY!! Stop I'll explain everything if you just let me talk!" Lily then calmed down and looked at me expectantly waiting for me to answer all her questions.
