Chapter 2

Lucas

I felt someone looking at me, so I looked up from my phone and my eyes met with a beautiful pair of light brown eyes. I don't see those eyes too often, she must be a foreigner. Suddenly, the girl realized I was looking at her and she quickly turned her head. I chuckled and looked back at my phone.

A few minutes later I looked up and noticed the girl wasn't at her table, I looked around and saw her ordering food at a salad place. She then walked away from the counter and stood to the side. She looked pure and sweet. I could see the beauty in her, she was different, unlike most girls I've seen. The girl looked my way and blushed when our eyes met. I leaned back in chair and stared deeply into her eyes.

As I stared, I could feel my heart skip a beat. I wanted so much to get close to her.... I noticed she was still blushing and her face was really pink. I couldn't help but think how cute she was. I don't want this to end. Suddenly we broke eye contact when a guy pushed her causing her to slam into a table. Pain filled her eyes and face, she rubbed her side but pretended like nothing happened. I looked angrily at the guy who pushed her. I was about to get up and confront him but I saw a police officer walking by. I don't want to make a huge scene in front of an officer so I just let it go. I looked back at the girl and saw she was eating her food, but the look on her face showed she wasn't feeling good. I then saw her push away the plate away from her, but it was half way finished, she didn't look too good. I couldn't help seeing how she was, so I got up and walked over to her table.

Right when I got to her table, she got up and grabbed her stuff. She didn't realize I was in front of her and she bumped right into me. Before she could fall back I grabbed her and pulled her into my arms
This feeling........ I don't want it to end......... I want to stay like this forever. Without knowing I lightly stroked her hair with my hand. Her hair was soft and a nice dark brown color, it had some red and gold strands of color mixed in making it prettier.

The girl looks up at me, I gave her a smile and her face turned bright pink. My heart leaped at her reaction, "Am I in love?" I thought. She suddenly pulled away from me, I looked at her confused and concerned, and reached out to her. She flinched and ran away from me. At that very moment, my heart stopped, "Why did she run from me? Is she scared of me? Does she hate me??" I asked myself. My heart saddened and I felt weak. I took out my phone and looked at the time, "I need to go before I'm late....." I thought and quickly grabbed my things and left.

This is shorter than the last one, but I made this chapter as somewhat of a filler and to show Lucas' point of view in this book so far.

And if anyone is wondering, yes this is going to be going at a slower pace, it does seem like it's picking up very quickly but trust me it'll slow down. If you think it's moving too slow or too fast let me know!
