Thomas' mouthed the name that had been haunting his mind for over a year. "Newt."

The brunette carefully lifted the other boy into a standing position and stared at him for a moment, taking in the fact that he was here, alive and real.

He tugged the previously dead boy into his chest tightly, afraid of letting go.

He looked up to Minho who was staring at them with a hopeful yet cautious look, wanting to believe it but not knowing if he should. Thomas reached out a hand to his other best friend, pulling him into a long awaited hug.

"We missed you so much," Minho whispered to Newt, knowing Thomas couldn't speak right now.

"You don't know how happy I am to see you guys." Newt's voice caught for a minute and tears filled his eyes. His shaking had reduced but hadn't stopped just yet. "Can we get out of here?"

"Yeah, let's go. The others will be so happy to hear from you." Minho tugged Thomas' shoulder and they both slung one of Newt's arms over their shoulders, keeping their guns at the ready.

As they climbed the stairs, they started to smell something that they knew wasn't good.

It was too early for the bombs to go off, they agreed only twenty minutes after the arranged meeting time should the bombs go off, or if everyone's there.

So there was only one way to explain that.

Some idiot mixed chemicals and now the lab was going to explode.

"Alright, hurry up," Thomas spoke for the first time since killing Ratman. "We gotta go."

They hurried up the basement stairs, through the hallways, around corners, until they reached the exit closest to the rendezvous. Quickly, they navigated through the crowds of oblivious people, Thomas getting major deja vu from the last time he was with Newt, in this very posistion.

He had hope that this time, they would both make it out alive.

Minutes dragged by and not much was said between the newly reunited trio, just huffs of breath and encouraging words.

When they were within view of the rendezvous, Brenda, who was pacing and Sonya, who was biting her nails, hurried over, and hugged all three boys, before realizing there were three.

Sonya threw her arms around Newt extra tightly, glad to have her brother back, while Brenda clapped him on the back and welcomed him with a smile.

Gally and Fry came over and were equally as happy to see their once second-in-command alive.

Once the excitement faded a little, Thomas asked where the pack was.

The silence spoke for itself.

He wasn't mad though, but he was sad that Liam probably wouldn't see the light of day again. the chemicals he had smelt coming out of the basement might have been from them but it didn't matter.

He told Harriet to ignite the bombs.

They all watched, side by side, as a chain reaction of bombs went of like fireworks, in a colorful display of light, followed by loud sounds and the building crashing down.

Though he might feel bad for all those 'innocent' people down there, Thomas couldn't help but feel relived, finally having stopped WICKED once and for all, and with having most of his friends alive and well, along with Newt once again...

He couldn't be happier.

Turns out he could be happier, when him and the survivors were back with his dad a few days later.
