Chapter One | Beginning |

School for misfits. I was technically born to be here. Literally. When I was a baby, my biological mom (who was a witch) was being hunted down by some dangerous people. They already killed my dad and I was still alive at the scene of the death. Distressed, my biological mom put a demon-binding spell on me so I would be protected at all times. That demon was Evan and he could make his split personalities into actual living people. That was pretty cool I guess but some of his personalities were very overprotective and yandere.
Anyways, after my biological mom put the spell on me, she had a bunch of bad people hot on her trail. So, she decided to take me to the School For Misfits, or at least it wasn't called that when I arrived. She asked the owners who are Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor to take care of me since Sarah was a close friend of my mother's. Of course, Sarah said yes because she always wanted kids with her wife Holland. They took me in and my last name was changed from L/n to Paulson-Taylor.
    Sarah and Holland raised me as their own since they could have no kids of their own. They would constantly tell me to call Sarah 'mom' and Holland 'mother' so I did as they wished. Or at least they embedded it into my tiny baby mind when I was little.
I grew up in their big chateau by myself most of the time until I was sixteen. Remember that demon that I was bound to? Yeah, he turned up fourteen years after that binding spell. When he first arrived I could tell he was really nervous because mom was pretty scary when she heard that he was looking for me. But mother told mom that he was probably the demon that my original mom bound to me. After that, she let him stay in the room next to mine.
    He was eighteen at the time and weirdly I wasn't too bothered by him being around me all the time. Maybe it's because I've been spending so much time by myself and I was actually people deprived. Anyways, I loved being around him because I also got to talk with his alternate personalities too. The first personality I met was Kai Anderson. When I first met him was when he was masturbating. It was awkward because I heard him moan my name and I thought he was being goofy so I just let him be. It wasn't 'till later I found out that he was masturbating to me. He was also super protective of me because I remember when mother wanted us to get some groceries, Evan was out cold but Kai was available. While we were out, some high school student was hitting on me and Kai got really angry. If looks could kill that student would be dead by now. But throughout the whole trip, Kai held onto me tightly and when we got back home, there were bruises on my waist and hands.
    The second person I met was James Patrick March. Mom and mother like to invite random families to help bring them together as a family. But if one of the partners is unfaithful then Mom would kill off the cheater and then do some magic to rework the family to be happier and more successful. But this one time, I accidentally walked in on his killing the wife who was interested in James. I remember he was pretty charming I guess, but he didn't want me to be scared of him. I remember he was telling me not to be scared of him while trying to wipe off the blood he had splattered on him.
    Anyways, the third person I met was Tate Langdon. I was just chilling in my bedroom until he randomly came out of my bathroom. Then he lay beside me and just stared at me studying my musical notes. He asked me what the musical notes were for and I said it was for the violin. I remembered he pouted and told me to learn to play the guitar to play a Nirvana song for him.
    The fourth person was Kyle Spencer. I met him when he was greeting the new family that just moved in the stay at the chateau. The teenage daughter they had was obviously into him but I guess he didn't really pay attention to that. When Kyle saw me, he immediately started to follow me around and talk to me. I guess he was pretty nice to hang out with
    The fifth person I met was Jimmy Darling. Mom and Mother wanted to put on a show for the family that was staying with young kids. Evan said that one of his personalities would be able to do that job. The next day, Jimmy showed up during breakfast and he was talking to Mom about his act. Once he saw me, he started hiding his hands which I thought was a bit weird. Later on, I found out that his hands were like lobster hands which aren't really weird, considering the life I live. I confronted him about his hands and now we're pretty close.
    The sixth and last person I met was Peter Maximoff. Apparently, there was a fast silver thing that was moving throughout the house and we didn't know what it was. Not until I slipped on the stairs, sprained my ankle, and almost fell down the stairs. I never actually fell down because the fast silver thing saved me from more bruises. I found out that his name was Peter and that he was one of Evan's personalities.
    Anyways, after meeting all of Evan's personalities, Mom and Mother felt like they were raising eight kids in total but with abilities. So they decided that they would turn the chateau into a school for misfits. Basically a school for people with abilities or born differently from humans. So after Evan came, Mom started to promote the school, and a witch named Mayella was enrolled not too long after. She was an African American from New Orleans. She also had the abilities of telekinesis, telepathy, and vision foretelling, which is pretty cool to me. She's ten years older than me so that makes her twenty-eight.
    The next student to enroll was Zen. He was traveling with a circus before he joined the school. He was known to have white hair and grey eyes which was considered weird. His abilities were healing, nature manipulation, and water manipulation. When he first joined, he liked working in the gardens and farms. He usually spent most of his time making sure the garden and farm were healthy.
    Ivy was the fifth student to enroll. She was half mermaid and half nymph so her genes made her look beautiful. She had green hair and green eyes. Her parents were Italian and raised her there. Her abilities are water manipulation, nature manipulation, and charm.
    The sixth student to come was James. He was a werewolf from California and he kinda looked like your average American jock. He had blonde hair and blue eyes, he was also very well-built. When he first arrived, he acted really weird about his condition as a werewolf. Over time he got over it which is actually good for him.
    The newest student that just enrolled last month is Alana. She's from New York and she has blonde hair and blue eyes. She's a witch and almost has the same abilities as Mayella except she doesn't have telepathy instead she has teleportation. When she first arrived, I could tell she had a big fat crush on Evan. She would constantly be overly touchy with him and Evan would be pretty uncomfortable with that. I also read her mind and she was thinking pretty dirty things about him.
    Anyways, that's basically what happened throughout my life for now. But today, Alana and Mayella have a vision foretelling session since Alana sucks at it and Mayella is great at it. I have a grocery run with Kai and Evan which is pretty nice I guess but sometimes Alana gets really jealous. Her thoughts are a little concerning because she would think about doing something bad to me. One time she thought about poisoning my food and drinks so I would be in a zombie-like state. I didn't eat or drink anything much that month.
    "Are you ready to go out?" asked Evan. He was holding his jacket in his hand and I could see Kai waiting behind him.
    "Yeah, I'm ready," I replied, putting away my music sheets. We went into the car and Evan drove us to a nearby grocery store.
    "How much money did Paulson give us?" asked Kai from the back seat.
    "Well, she gave us her credit card so I guess she wants us to just buy whatever's on her list," said Evan, holding up her credit card.
    "So, food and snacks, basically?" he said.
    "Yeah, I guess. We'll need extra food and snacks though, Mrs.Paulson said that a family would come in pretty soon," informed Evan. We arrived at the grocery store and we got out to buy some food. At some point, I left Evan and Kai in the vegetables and fruits section to go look at the snacks.
    "Hey, are you new around here?" I looked to my right to see a boy with brown hair.
    "No," I replied.
    "Oh, this town's pretty small and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen you around here before," he said.
    "I don't go out often. I usually just stay home since it's big," I explained quickly.
    "Do you wanna hang out with me and my friends one day?" he asks. Before I could answer, I felt something loom over me.
    "No, she'll be busy for the next few weeks, she has a violin recital that she has to practice for and she'll be busy with me," said Kai, putting his hand on my waist, pulling me closer to him. Kai politely smiled and pulled me away from him towards Evan.
    "What was that for?" I asked him.
    "He was bothering you and plus, Evan and I started freaking out that you disappeared. Don't go off like that again," he warned, tightening his grip on my waist.
    "Oh, there you are Y/n! You disappeared on us, don't do that again," said Evan. The cart was filled with fresh vegetables and fruit. There was another cart that had some bread and pastries in it.
    "Let's go get the snacks now," said Evan. Kai and I pushed the carts while Evan led the way. We got a bit of everything and we also got some ice cream as well. We went to the cashier and bought the items and left for the car. We barely fit all of the groceries in but we did it. We drove back home and on the way, we saw a new carnival that was set up.
    "Oh! That seems fun! Do you think Mom and Mother would let us go?" I asked.
    "Probably, I mean, I think that new family might wanna go to the carnival. Considering they're not from town, they'll probably wanna tour around and look at some tourist sites. But I think they'll go to the beach first since Baytown is known for the beach," said Evan.
"We get it, Evan. The new family is fun, but I see it as bothersome. Paulson wants me to get them to reveal their darkest secrets to me so I can tell her what's wrong with the family," huffed Kai.
"Well, at least you guys don't have to perform for them often," I complained.
"Hey, I like it when you play the violin. It sounds great!" complimented Evan.
"Yeah, your violin skills are way better than all of our skills combined," said Kai.
"You guys are just saying that because you don't know how to play. And because you guys tried learning but gave up the next day," I protested.
"I mean, you're not wrong," said Evan. We pulled up into the garage and closed the garage door. Suddenly a silver blur passed by us and all of the groceries were already inside.
"Your welcome," said Peter, leaning against the doorway.
"Egotistic little shit," muttered Kai as he passed by Peter.
"Oh wow, I'm hurt by that, Kai," said Peter, putting his hand on his chest. Kai rolled his eyes and left for his room. I walked into the living room to pick up my violin and I saw that the new family was coming soon.
    "Fuck, I'm on cooking duty! I forgot about that," shouted Mayella.
    "It's okay, Mayella. I got started a bit, you can focus on teaching Alana the rest," reassured Ivy calmly, while caressing Mayella's arm.
    "Awe, thanks, Ivy. You're the best," thanked Mayella.
    "So how was shopping?" asked Alana in a snotty tone. "I bet she had so much fun with the Evans. Ugh! She went with the OG who's pretty hot. But she also went with Kai, who is ULTRA HOT. Why does she get the most time with them?"
    "It was okay, there's a carnival being set up near our house," I replied. Her eyes widened with excitement.
    "Wait, carnival!?" she said excitedly.
    "Yeah, I think Mom would let us go after we finish our studies," I said. I picked up the violin and headed upstairs to my room. I opened the door to see an unconscious Kyle on my bed and Mom and Mother on the side observing him.
    "What's happening?" I asked.
    "Remember when Kyle was gone for a while?" asked Mom.
    "Yeah," I replied.
    "Well, he got into a car accident and he died, but we were able to assemble his body parts back together and cast a spell to revive him from the dead. It'll take a while until he'll be conscious but until then we'll leave him in your room. When he wakes up, make sure to tell me and you'll know how to take care of him, so I'm not too worried about that. Any questions?" explained Mom.
"Uhm, what if his brain goes wonky? Because, if it does then we have to wait for Aunt Esther to come and fix him," I expressed my concerns.
"If that were to happen, then he'll have to be in your care at all times, meaning your violin recital for the new family will be canceled," said Mom.
     "Okay, I'll still practice just in case though. When do you think he'll wake up?" I asked.
    "He'll wake up before the family arrives so tell me if he's not doing well," said Mother. They both left and closed the door behind them. I put my violin on a stand and I went to get my music sheets. I placed the music sheets on the stand but I went over to Kyle's body to check up on him. Hopefully, he'll wake up just fine.
