Chapter 4: Watching The Sunset

The sun rose, the birds were chirping, like a beautiful song sung from the angels up above. The sky was baby blue. The clouds were white and puffy. The sunlight was shining bright. Today was going to be my last day in paradise, but at least I won't have to feel guilty about staying here.

"Good morning Vanessa, I have prepared your breakfast. Have a great meal!" Edward said. He smiled sweetly. He rushed off into another room. Why is he always in such a rush? I wondered.

Walking into the dining room I saw the familiar glossy wooden table, with a white cloth across it, gold flatware, and a crystal chandelier. Walking closer to the table I noticed Prince James was already seated. Shocked I sat down in the seat next to him. "Hi James, how are you this fine morning?" I asked. "Great and you?" He asked.

"I feel amazing. I'm really excited..." I said. To get out of here. I thought in my head.

Later that day, it was time to go to the mountain. I had gotten closer and closer to leaving. I don't know why I wanted to leave so badly, when I have a chance to stay with such a nice prince. The fact that I can leave was relieving, but I somehow had a little part of me that would miss this place. Maybe it'll shake off. I thought as I walked outside.

"Ready to go?" James asked. "Yeah let's start climbing." I said walking ahead, slowly turning into a speed walk. As we got to the mountain we started climbing, having a conversation about random things.

I was rock climbing in real life. I'm not sure if these rocks are very stable though. Suddenly, all I can hear is the sound of rocks falling, and my heart beating. Then I realized that I was hanging. I was frozen due to shock.

What seems like forever that I was hanging, my other hand was grabbed and I was lifted up. I hadn't realized I was already at the top. I was to busy worrying about my possibility of falling or being alive. "It seems like I'm your savior yet again." He said smirking. "I wouldn't say that... But thanks." I said smiling.

"Look, the sun is starting to set!" I said. I looked deeply into his eyes. His light blue eyes seemed to glue my eyes to his. A slight wind blew his hair, and the sun's last bit of light was gleaming on his light blonde hair. It made my heart skip a beat.

My heart was pounding against my chest. "Shall we count down then?" He said in the most charming way. Yeah. I said in a way that made it obvious I was day dreaming, a little too obvious. "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1."

Everything had become dark in a flash. I was so amazed at how nice a sight the sun setting can be. I laid down and looked up at the stars. It was a breath taking day. "Shall we go James?" I eagerly blurted out. "Yes, let's go." He said calmly.

James just looked down the entire walk to the castle. He had asked me if I wanted some clothes or food. But I just walked to where I usually live. I couldn't help but feel like I was leaving something behind. Like my heart was left at the castle.
