Sigh...

Hindi ko alam kung ika-ilang buntong hininga ko na yan. The school hallways are still empty. Normal lang naman yun, because I'm earlier than how I usually am.

Eight o' clock ang start ng classes, madalas 7 or quarter past 7 I'm already in school. Pero today, I'm already here by 6:30, ayaw pa nga ni kuya na palabasin ako sa bahay kasi baka hindi pa open yung school but I'm stubborn as a mule when I want my way so he had no choice but to drive me here.

He also had to leave early because he's training na sa company namin and the office he's assigned is a two-hour drive from here so he has to be early or dad said he'd cut off his allowance which to my kuya is his worst nightmare.

I walked to a bench to sit down. I got my phone and as I opened it, bumati sa kin ang message na naging dahilan kung bakit ang aga-aga ko ngayon.

JAX: Lee, we need to talk. You leave by seven right? I asked Kuya Tony. I'm picking you up tomorrow morning. Night.

Sigh... Di ko alam bakit I'm avoiding him, he technically did nothing wrong. It's not his fault na gusto ko siya when I knew he was already off- limits.

So why the hell am I like this?! This is not a level-headed individuals behavior Ash!

Napabuntong hininga na naman ako at napasandal sa wall. Kanina ko pa iniisip kung bakit ako nagkakaganito. I shouldn't be doing this.

I'm being unfair to Jax na wala namang kaalam alam and I know I'm driving him nuts because he knows something's wrong with me and he doesn't know why, and I'm pretty sure he thinks its something about him with how I behaved yesterday.

I closed my eyes and sighed again. I'm so tired of this. Kailan ba matatapos tong katangahan kong toh.

My phone rang cutting off my thoughts, not looking at who's calling I answered it. I laughed as an overly chirpy voice said

"Good morning Kay!"

"Ang hyper mo naman yata, I didn't know you were a morning person. How did you get my number by the way? I don't remember giving it to you" I said teasing him

He laughed and said "I have my ways and why do you look so lonely?"

Napatama ako nang upo at nagpalinga-linga and chuckled when I saw the one and only Lawrence Edward Lee happily waving at me, two benches across from me. I heard the call end and then the next thing I know, he's already beside me.

"Morning" sabi ko sa kanya. Ngumiti lang siya. Sometimes, I feel na weirdo tung si Rence, lagi na lang nakangiti eh.

"So, bakit parang pasan mo ang mundo ngayon?" diretsong tanong niya

"Wala, I'm just not a morning person unlike someone here who obviously is" and we both laughed.

"That makes me even more curious though," he suddenly said so I raised a brow in question.

He leaned closer to me, "Why is a not morning person here in school so early in the morning"

Then he fixed me with a gaze like he was studying me. I don't know how long it's been, maybe seconds pero feeling ko ilang oras na niya ako tinititigan.

I couldn't look at him any longer so I tried to chuckle, though it sounded nervous to me and leaned back to gain some distance from him and I saw him smirk a little.

I rolled my eyes, "I think someone has watched too much movies and series for his own good, don't let it get to your head Rence. You're not a detective" I told him then flicked his forehead.

In an instant, gone was the serious Rence and came the laughing-carefree Rence I've gotten to know. He laughed at what I said then rumpled my hair and I huffed in annoyance.

He laughed again, his laugh echoing in the hallways. It was then cut off by someone clearing their throat.

Both me and Rence turned to where the sound came from and I froze for a second.

There was Xy, looking gorgeous as always but that wasn't why I froze. A poker faced Jax was standing beside her and his gaze was only trained sa isang bagay lang.

Or in this case, sa iisang tao lang.

"Well, Jax. Looks like you were worrying for nothing. Ash, seems perfectly fine. Do you mind introducing me to your new friend Ash baby?", Xy said with a wink.

I heard Rence chuckle and say "Well Kay, aren't you going to introduce me?" he said teasingly sabay akbay pa sa akin but I was too concerned of the hot gaze I knew that was focused on me to shrug his arm away and I caught Xy raise a brow at the nickname.

That put me out of the trance I was in. I cleared my throat and was about to introduce Rence to Xy but I never got to it.

"Lee", Jax called and I lowered my head then took a breath and looked up at him. His gaze trained on me, walang emosyon pa rin ang mukha niya when he said

"We need to talk"
