For Them

Chapter Eleven: Answers

Nat took the news pretty well. Suprisingly she wasn't too sad about the whole hysterectimy thing. Or at least not that she was showing.

"I was never supposed to be able to have kids at all. But I got one so I'm ok with that." Is what she said to Yelena. But she can't be taking it that well. Could she?

They have been in the S.H.I.E.L.D hospital for 4 days now and both Nat and Yelena were getting restless. Yelena hadn't left Nats side for more than a couple minutes. Showering in the bathroom in the room, both surviving off of hospital food. Sometimes someone would bring things when they visited but they were very busy people. Also the fact they haven't known each other for long.

Nick had to work a lot, most of the day actually. He visited whenever he could but most of the time it wasn't till very late at night and the girls were often already asleep. He still sits with them and takes care of Peter if he starts crying. Not that he would ever let anyone know that.

Nick has been at the hospital whenever he can be. He really cares about the girls. And not just because Melina asked him to. He was doing the best he could to get the girls to trust him but he still needed information. Not to mention the fact Melina missed the checks for the last couple of days and has been completly off the grid. No one has heard a single thing from her. Not even to check up on the girls, which really worried Nick.

They had now been in the hospital a week and Nat was fully healed, which supprised everyone how quickly her insition closed. And Peter was healthy so they were finally allowed to leave.

Dr. Banner had informed the girls they could leave so they packed there things. As well as Nat and Peter finally being able to be in some real clothes for the first time in a while.

Nick walked into the hospital room at noon and greeted everyone before  helping get Peter into his new carrier. He lifted the boy up and they all left the room. Nick led them to the car as Nat and Yelena followed awkwardly behind them. When they got to the car Nick and Yelena got in the front while Nat and Peter got in the back.

The drive home wasn't very long and the second they walked in the door Nick knew he needed to finally ask.

"Natasha I need to ask you some questions." He sais as they all walked into the living room

"Ok. Um Yelena can you take Peter to our room please?" She asked handing the carrier to her sister

Once Yelena left Nick started asking everything he needed to.

"I didn't want to do this so soon but the situation has become more severe. Melina is missing and we need all the information we can get to find her." Nic says seriously

"Yeah whatever I can do to help. I don't really know much. I didn't even know she was undercover for a long time. I'm not sure I'll know anything but I can try." She says sitting up from her place on the couch and nervously places her hands in her lap, picking at her fingers

"She said you and Dreykov we're close. That he sometimes brought you along with him when he left. Where did you two go?" He asked

"I don't know where it was, I was blind folded the whole time we were out side of the building. But I know they did experiments there. I think it was a Hydra base. They experimented on lots of people, mainly kids. They have this stone that they are trying to find someone who can handle the power it has. It's killed everyone who has come into contact with it, except one." She says

"Who?" Nick asked urgently

"A young girl named Wanda. Her and her twin brother Pietro are the only kids to survive the injections to give them their powers so far. That I know of at least." She explains

"You said they have powers. What can they do?" Nick asks

"He has some kind of super speed and she was given the power of telekinesis and mental manipulation but after coming into contact with the stone the extents of her powers could be limitless." Nat says

"And you have no idea what so ever where they are?"

"I don't. But I know some one who might." She says

"And who would that be?"

"Peters father...." She starts
