Darius was sitting on the couch and I sat next to him, on the armrest.
Suddenly, he tackled me and giggled as he pinned me on the floor.
I gasped for air, for a second, and he smirked. He stole my bandana and I quickly got up to run after him.
“Hey!” I yell, running after him and clearly making a scene infront of everyone else.
I tackle Darius and pin him to the floor, taking back my bandana from his hands.
He chuckles and I smile, but instead of getting up right away, I remain there and stare in his eyes, zoning out.
He then broke the overly awkward silence, “Ben? Are you going to get off of me now..?” I realize I’ve been standing there for way too long and quickly get up with a flushed face. I run outside and stop just by the river.
Darius, oh my god Darius, the things you do to me.
I sigh and close my eyes, smiling as I think about Darius and his wonderful smile.
Gosh that smile.
I cover my mouth with my hand and feel my heart pound thinking of him.
The thought of him made my heart flutter.
And I keep thinking when I should finally tell him.
It is so difficult to decide.
Now? Later? Tomorrow? Never?
I don’t know.
That boy has such an effect on me. I scoff.
He is so god damn amazing.
I can’t keep myself from thinking of him.
He must be mine.
Mine only.

Later that day, I was greeted with a spreading rumor.
That Darius liked Kenji, it wasn’t very believable, but it hurt me deeply. And I just couldn’t stand seeing him with somebody else.
I decided I would speak with him. Privately.
...
“Hey Darius? Can I speak to you in private?” I could almost feel my fake smile cracking in half. I just wanted to hit Kenji.
“Yeah, sure” He smiled and I led him outside of camp and into the forest.
We stopped walking and I put a hand on his shoulder.
“Darius” I said sternly and felt his shoulder flinch at my tone.
“What’s going on with this rumor?” I asked.
“What rumor? Oh... the one with me and Kenji?”
“Yes, exactly that one,” My eyebrows furrowed.
“Well I don’t know- I don’t like him or anything-” I interrupted him by shoving him into a tree, not to rough.
“Darius this isn’t okay!” I start yelling.
“But it’s not true, Ben!” He retorts and I start to walk away but he pulls me by my shoulder.
I shove him onto the grass and he pulls me down by the waist.
We both grunt as we try to push eachother off of us.
I pin him on the ground. “Ben you’ve got to believe me!” He says and I defend. “I can’t! You just don’t understand do you?!”
He pulls me under him and pins me down.
“I’m trying to explain to you that I’m not lying!” He yells and I try to push him off of me.
“Darius just stop! You don’t get it!” I yell and push him off of me, and try to crawl away.
He grabs me by my leg and pulls me towards him. I kick the air and crawl forward.
I get up and he pulls me down by my waist again, and I try to push him off of me.
I end up landing on top of him and prepare to throw a punch.
“Darius-” I can feel tears start to form.
“Ben please! You’ve got to believe me!”
“Darius I- do- you just... don’t understand.” My tone starts to calm down and I lower my arm to his side and he smiles at me as I struggle to give him a smile lf my own.
He sighs, and keeps holding on my arm that was on his chest.
I just now realize our position was awkward.
But I felt that it was the perfect chance.
I lowered my body to hover just above him.
He stares into my eyes and I stare into his.
My heart is pounding in my chest and I struggle to keep my eyes away from his lips.
He smiles, noticing and I lower my face, just inches above his.
And then I did the unthinkable.
I lowered down and closed my eyes, till I was met with a soft pair of lips.
I held his cheek with my other hand and our lips moved in perfect rythm.
I moved both of my hands to rest on his cheeks and he placed his hands behind my head.
I felt butterflies in my stomach like no other.
I couldn’t have been any happier than I was right now.
But after that we seperated and gasped for air.
I did it.
I kissed Darius.
I really did it.
I placed my hand over my mouth.
I couldn’t even believe it.
I really did it. Without backing out the last second.
He smiled at me and I shuffled my legs further back and kissed him again, enjoying the moment.
We both smiled at eachother and I spoke. “I love you so much,”
He parted his lips to speak but moved his head upward and kissed me tenderly once more, leaving me with a red face.
“I love you so much too,” He said and we both held onto each other till the sun rose.
