"Ali!" I ran as fast as I can the moment I step foot inside the public hospital rooms.
Lumingon si Ali, Franco at Louis sa akin nang marinig ako. Louis was lating down on the bed, he looked frail and weak but still managed to give me a smile.
"Amore bakit ka-"
"How do you feel? God, you look weak Louis" I ignored Ali.
Tumawa lang si Louis. "Okay lang ako Ate! Gagaling din ako, tamo" Pinakita niya pa ang non-existent muscles niya sa braso.
Umiling lang ako bago ko tinignan si Ali na mukhang hindi inaasahang pupunta talaga ako dito. I smiled sweetly at him while he continued on shaking his head.
"Pahinga ka muna Ate Amore, bumyahe ka pa dito" It was Franco.
"No it's fine, actually I have no work...for a...week" Lumunok ako bago ako nagiwas ng tingin. Yeah right, no work for a week.
I think it's fine if I stay with them for a little while here, I know Ali's busy with work and having your own sibling being hospitalized is an added stress.
"Louis maguusap lang kami ng Ate Amore mo" Louis pouted at his brother before looking at me with puppy eyes.
"I won't leave, I'll just talk to you brother" I smiled before looking at Ali again.
Ali slicked his hair back before walking outside of the hospital room, sumunod naman ako sakaniya. I know he's mad at me for going all the way here.
Pero kasalanan ko bang gusto ko siyang tulungan? I want to be the person who he can lean on. I want to be here for him.
"Babe, don't tell me you're mad" I said while crossing my arms in front of my chest.
Pinagtaasan niya ako ng kilay bago siya malalim na bumuntong hininga.
"Look, I don't want you to stress about my situation. 'Di ba may trabaho ka pa? Tapos magmamaneho ka pa-"
"I told you! I have no work for a whole week Ali, I'm free! It's fine, why are you so worked up by all of this?" This is probably one thing I dislike about Ali.
His selflessness and his dislike for having people to care for him, to be concerned for him, even.
"Alright, I'm sorry. Nadala lang ako...ayaw ko lang na naaabala ka dahil dito"
"And who said that? No one right? You know I went here because I want you to lean on me for once Ali. I want to be here for you because I love you" I brought my hand up to caress his cheek.
Ali's eyes softened, "I know, thankyou" Ngumiti ako bago ko siya pinatakan ng halik sa labi.
"I will always be here for you, so please don't push me away" Pinagdikit ko ang nuo namin dalawa.
Naramdaman kong hinawakan niya ang kamay kong nakahawak sa pisnge niya bago siya tumango.
"I won't, I will never push you away" Ngumiti ako.
Well, that was what I thought...back then.

"I'll pay for half of the bill and I'll also pay for a private room" Pagkatapos ng mga nangyari kanina, dumiretso kaagad ako sa counter.
"Alright ma'am, what's your name? Paki sulat nalang po-"
"Uh no, I'll stay anonymous. I'll just transfer the money, I want my identity hidden" Nagtaas ng tingin ang nurse pagkatapos ko 'yong sabihin bago siya tumango.
"Okay po" Nang matapos ako doon, lumabas na ako ng hospital at saka ko na pinagana ang sasakyan ko.
I drove all the way to the mansion to get some of my things since I'm sure I'll be going from Manila to Tarlac and vice versa.
