The Unexpected Lover

Chapter 5

After that night, you were busy the rest of the week pickpocketing people of their money. You didn't have enough in your wallet to pay for groceries, so this was what you ended up doing. 

As you walked into an alley with a wad of cash you leaned against the wall and sat down. You placed the money on the ground and started to count. 

'10, 10, 40, 55, 80, 100. I have 100 dollars to spend on food. Did I need any other necessities?' you thought. 

You stood back up and put the cash in your wallet and walked out of the alley and onto the street. You decided to be safe that you would get food at the nearest gas station. 

You walked for a couple of minutes when you saw a gas station. You ran across the street and into the gas station store. 

You went past every aisle scanning the food they had. You decided to get a couple of ramen containers, some snacks, water, and some fruit. You just needed to collect enough food for the week, and then you would just do the process all over again. 

You walked up to the cash register and greeted the worker. You heard the door open and you turned your head to see who it was. 

Your heart dropped, it was Hawks. You started to silently freak out, 'Why is he here?' you thought as the cash register tapped your shoulder. 

"Ma'am 70 dollars." they said. You quickly turned your head and apologized. You reached into your pocket to find your wallet when you couldn't find it. 

'Where did it go!?!' you thought as you frantically looked around. 

"Ma'am, you need some way to pay or you won't be able to get any of this." the person said. 

"I know that!" you snapped back as you walked away to go find your wallet. 

You saw Hawks but you weren't concerned, 'Who cares if he knows my identity? I'm still stronger than him.' you thought as you saw your wallet on the floor by the produce. 

You walked toward it when the person you hated in this world bent down and picked it up. He looked over to you and smiled, "Is this yours?" he asked as you glared at him. 

"Yes. Now give it back." you said angered off by everyone around you. 

"Hey, that's no way to speak to the man who just saved you from losing your wallet." he said as he started to open it up. 

"Hey stop that!" you said as you kicked the wallet out of his hands and jumped up to catch it midair. 

"You have no right looking into my wallet." you said as you turned around to head back to the cash register until something stopped you. 

Hawks grabbed onto your wrist, "Hey aren't you the doctor from the hospital? We've been looking for you." he said as he started to get a closer look at you. 

You tried to get out of his grip, "What are you talking about? I'm not a doctor?" you exclaimed while fighting back his grip. 

"Why did you dye your hair? Why did you punch that guy?" he said as if you weren't trying to get away from him. 

"I didn't dye my hair! This is my natural color!" you said as you punch him and got out of his grasp. 

"Hey will the couple in the back take it outside." the worker called over the intercom. You glared at the worker and exclaimed, "We are not a couple! Not in a million years!"

You then walked away, throwing open the gas station door trying to get away from there. But you knew it wouldn't be easy to get rid of Hawks once somethings peaked his interest. 

Not even one second later Hawks flew over to you, "So Ms. Doctor, why did you run?" he said as he landed right in front of you. 

You swerved away and walked past him, "I told you I'm not a doctor. Now please leave me alone." you said. 

"Oh, your being a little nicer now." he said as he walked along side you. You didn't know where you were walking but you knew you couldn't go home, now that he was following you. 

"Why don't we have dinner, and in return I won't turn you into the police?" he said while looking at you. 

"Turn me into the police!?! Why!?! I did nothing wrong!" you said as you halted to a stop to speak your mind to the annoying bird in front of you. 

"Really?" he said as he started to walk closer towards you. He stopped one foot away and leaned in close to your face. He then moved his face next to your ear and whispered, "What's funny is that there are two Doctors? Isn't that crazy? We looked into the dead person's body and saw that she was the real doctor. So who are you?" he said as you felt his breath on you. 

'What do I do?' you thought as your breathing was be controlled so that he wouldn't find out that it you were (Villain name). 

You pushed him away, "I don't know what you are talking about? And it is rude to accuse someone for something they never did." you said as you looked him in the eyes with your arms crossed. 

"Ok, so then let's go to the police shall we?" he said as he started to walk away. 

"I-" at that moment there were a group of screams coming from the middle of the city. You looked towards the scream when Hawks face turned serious. 

He picked you up wedding style, "Your coming with me. I'm not done with you." He then started to fly to the location, while you started to think of a plan to escape his filthy claws. 

As the two of you got closer to the madness you both saw a group of villains robbing a bank and terrorizing the citizens. It wasn't the League of Villains, but they still looked like a powerful bunch of villains. 

They looked like they were close since they worked all together well and balanced each other's quirks out. One of the villains who had long brown hair tied up in a pony tail had a quirk that looked like blue ice that could be shot at very far distances, another villain who had short blonde hair and green eyes had fire that looked like it could burn through even the hardest of metals, the last villain who had medium length, black hair with blue eyes, had electricity flowing through her, the electricity was enough to shock a large amount of water and kill all the living animals in the area.  

They looked like they could be of use to you, but you didn't know how you would get their attention. 

As Hawks and you landed he placed you on the ground and started to move the civilians out of the area with his red feathers that were as fast as light. He saw a police officer and ran towards him leaving you all alone. 

'This was your chance' you thought as you ran toward the villains.
