*this is the sequel of Don't Panic

"Hi, Sir."

Jinwoo spilled his coffee on the counter of their pantry. "Oh, shit. You scared me."

"Huh?" Irene furrowed her eyebrows. "How so? I gently greeted you. What are you doing here anyway?" Her eyes widened. "Yah! Aren't you supposed to be in a meeting? Did you forget about the memo?"

Jinwoo looked at his watch. "I did but the meeting started more than one hour ago. I didn't want to go there anymore." He sighed after saying that.

Irene leaned on the counter, Jinwoo did too. "I've been observing you lately and you so don't seem like yourself." She looked at him from head to toe. "What's going on?"

Working together for more than a year had made the two of them close. Although his position is higher than Irene's, they were like equals and she will always be his confidante. "Just... Things."

"Yeah, I know. But what things?" She almost rolled her eyes.

Jinwoo sighed again. He was about to spill the beans when someone else entered the pantry. "Uhm..."

"Hey, Mino," Irene greeted their management trainee.

"Uhm... I was just about to get some crackers."

Jinwoo pulled himself away from the counter and walked to Mino. "Let's get out of here," he said as he pulled the younger. Hand-in-hand, they went out of their office and onto the elevator. "Okay, now we're here." He let go of Mino's hand and faced him... Only, it wasn't Mino. "Yah! Why did you follow me?"

"Excuse me! You're the one who pulled me in here." It was Irene.

"Damn it."

Mino was jealous, he was jealous-jealous. No matter how many times Seungyoon assured him that Jinwoo and Irene are really just close friends - nothing less and most definitely nothing more, he still never felt at ease. Every time, like every single time, he saw the two of them together, he wanted to wreck havoc.

He just finished his work at the Quality Assurance Office that afternoon, and so he went back to their office. Their office was empty, which is usual considering the time. He knew Jinwoo was in a meeting, too. Feeling quite hungry, he walked to their pantry only to find the person he thought was in a meeting with the person he was always jealous of.

"Uhm..." What are you two doing here alone? Why are you here alone? Fucking alone!

"Hey, Mino," Irene greeted him good-naturedly.

"Uhm... I was just about to get some crackers." But I found you here alone with each other and I don't want to eat anymore, ever.

He saw Jinwoo got away from the counter he and Irene were both leaning on. "Let's get out of here," Mino's supervisor said before he pulled Irene out of the room.

And Mino could hear something breaking inside his chest. Jinwoo didn't even look at him. He had to hold onto the counter. He thought they were getting there - getting to being together. What did he miss? Why did Jinwoo make him feel their feelings were mutual when it wasn't?

It was already 5 pm. One by one, his fellow management trainees started flocking off the office. Mino stood up too and readied himself to go home. He had been anticipating it since 3 pm. He just wanted to slump on his bed and maybe wail a bit.
