"Push Through The Pain, Giving Up Hurts More" ~Vegeta
"10 Months," Izuku told Vegeta and Goku. "I've got 10 months to train for the upcoming UA exams!"
"Ua? What's that?" Goku asked tilting his head.
"You dolt! It's a hero school! The humans in this world have gained superpowers so they've made schools where people can learn to control their powers. Don't you pay attention?!" Vegeta yelled.
"Not really" Goku laughed.
"H-Hey! Can we get back to training? Also..." Izuku asked as he panted, arms at his side. "Can we loosen these weights?!"
Izuku had gotten out of school an hour ago and was currently on the beach with Goku and Vegeta. Deciding to up his training, Vegeta strapped him with heavy weights that Goku had lying around back on their new home planet. At first, they started with 250kgs on each weight. With one weight on all four of his limbs, he was lifting a tonne. A lot more than he was used to.
"You want to get stronger, right?! This is how!" Vegeta yelled growling.
"Geets, we did put a lot of weight on him straight away" Goku laughed.
"Can it Kakorot!" Vegeta yelled angrily.
"Okie! Okie!" Goku laughed before looking over at Izuku.
Izuku had wandered off to a pile of trash, beginning to move it back into separate piles. Anything small was thrown into a large black bin bag. Heavier stuff was moved to the side so garbage men could take it whenever they came and emptied the bins. Goku felt a smile spread across his face before he looked over at Vegeta.
"You can see it, can't you?" Goku asked.
"See what?" Vegeta huffed angrily.
"Don't ignore it! You can see the fire in his soul. Just like when we first met, I could see a fire inside your soul" Goku stated with a smile. "You know you can't ignore it".
"Hmmph! Maybe I can see it but it's uncontrolled. It's a wild flame! It needs to be tamed before he can truly harness the power he has" Vegeta yelled before gritting his teeth. "Alright! Enough moving stupid trash! Put them up Izuku!".
Izuku turned around and widened his eyes in surprise as Vegeta rushed forward, swinging his fist straight towards him at full power. Izuku dodged to the left, rolling across the burning sand before he got back to his feet, gritting his teeth and raising both his hands. He rushed forward, swinging his fists forward in hard punches. They traded attacks for what felt like an eternity, Vegeta landing a flurry of attacks that Izuku was barely able to block. They fought for hours until the sun started to set across the horizon. Izuku was flat on his back, panting heavily as sweat poured off him. Vegeta stood over to the top of him and let out an annoyed growl.
"I've got other things to do. Starting tomorrow, you'll be training alongside Kakarot!" Vegeta yelled before he started walking away, disappearing into the distance.
"Well, he hasn't changed much" Goku laughed before he looked towards the tired Izuku.
Helping him to his feet, Goku took the weights off Izuku's limbs and placed them into a bag, throwing them onto his back. With goodbyes said, Izuku started to walk towards home, his entire body feeling like it was on fire. He didn't care about how much it burned though, instead focusing on his future. He could practically see himself in UA, alongside the future heroes. A smile spread across his face before he continued his walk, the fire inside him growing more and more with every passing second.
The next ten months felt like a blur.
During the first few months, Izuku had training with Goku that consisted of strength and combat training. He was able to greatly improve in his martial arts, able to just barely keep up with Goku when they were fighting at full strength. Cleaning the beach was a lot easier as most of the trash felt like it weighed next to nothing.
After that, Izuku started to get into the more advanced forms of training. Goku began to teach Izuku how to manipulate his ki inside him so that he could learn to fly. It took a few days but eventually, Izuku was able to levitate on the spot. Through practice, Izuku was finally able to fly, soaring through the sky at incredible speeds. To say he was enjoying the speeds he was flying was an understatement.
In the final few months, Vegeta had come back from where ever he had come from to see how far his training had come. Although he wouldn't admit it, Vegeta was a little impressed by just how strong he had become. Deciding that he was strong enough, Vegeta started to teach him some of his signature techniques. At first, he taught Izuku how to focus his ki at a distance and cause a small explosion to happen. Once that was mastered, Izuku was moved on to the next big attack.
The Galick Gun!
With the UA entrance exams only a week away, Izuku didn't have much time to fully master the Galick gun. Instead, Goku took Izuku under his wing and started to teach him how to do a transformation technique KaioKen. Izuku trained with both Vegeta and Goku in hopes of at least being able to use Kaioken and Galick Gun but on the day of the entrance exams, he still wasn't able to transform or use Galick Gun.
Frustrated growls and yells left Izuku as he slammed his foot into the sand, causing a massive shockwave to explode outwards, throwing sand around before he sighed. He stood up and looked up at Vegeta with saddened eyes.
"I'm sorry... I wasn't able to use the techniques you tried too hard to teach me..." Izuku apologised with his head held down, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Hmmph..." Vegeta stated with narrowed eyes, a small glare appearing before he walked over to Izuku.
"Vegeta..." Goku asked semi concerned.
"Stop your crying!" Vegeta yelled smacking him along the back of his head. "You've still got years to master our techniques!"
"B-But!" Izuku started as he stared up at him from the ground.
"Look at what you've accomplished! You cleaned this entire beach on your own, learned how to fly, learned how to fire ki blasts and even started to learn advanced techniques! Stop feeling sorry for yourself!" Vegeta yelled at him.
He wasn't wrong. At the start, Izuku was a small weak boy, with not a single muscle located anywhere on his body. Now, however, Izuku had put on quite a nice amount of muscle, no longer that skinny kid he used to be. Izuku stared up at him from the ground, tears still streaming but a bright smile slowly spreading across his cheeks. With a happy laugh, Izuku stood up from the sandy ground, brushing his clothes off before he ran off, waving goodbye to the duo. Vegeta watched as his student disappeared into the distance, with no doubt in his mind about his success or failure. He already knew he was going to get in.
In the next hour, Izuku had taken a shower, eaten a near buffet of food and changed into some clothes he could fight in. This consisted of a white tank top that showed off his muscles nicely, a pair of long blue trousers and his normal red sneakers. He wore two blue sweatbands on his writs before he headed out. Leaving his apartment, Izuku stared at the bright blue sky and started to climb over the top of the concrete barricade. Pushing off, Izuku took off to the sky with a green aura flaring up around him. As he flew, he looked at the city below him, unable to control his massive smile as he let out a loud yell of joy.
"I'm ready! Bring it on!" Izuku yelled.
