I was cleared of helping the dark Lord out so I am a free man. I have been thinking of adopting harry asi am his godfather.
7am
I woke up to smell something amazing in the kitchen. I get out of bed and see remus making breakfast for us both and harry downstairs. I see them both looking so happy and I'm pretty sure on my descion.
Hey what aer you guys making I asked we making pancakes harry said as he hands me the plate. So I was thinking of adopting harry as we have three weeks before he goes back to hogwarts what do you think moony I said. Really I was going to ask you later if you wanted to said remus.
How would you feel about it harry us adopting you I asked. I love it I'm glad I still have you two In my life harry said as he comes over and hugs me. I can tell he was happy to hear that as I was worried incase he didn't and he didn't want us to adopt him.
12pm
We headed to the ministry and spoke to the minister and asked if that was still possible and he said yes and handed us the adoption papers. We got started on the paper work as I was nervous incase they wouldn't allow it.
We saw the weasleys head to our direction as they looked happy to see us hey molly what's up I ask nothing much we heard your adopting harry so we came to give you our support said molly. Well thank you I said oh we need someone to be his carer incase we die said remus.
I look over at molly and Arthur and said would you guys love to be his carer incase something happens to us. We would love to thank you said molly as they both came to give us a massive hug. I think there really happy to hear that as they were always there for him and took care of him.
We give the papers to the minister and he needed to analyse the papers and told us to wait outside for a few hours to complete it.
5pm
We waited for a few hours to hear if we can have have harry at ours every holidays. I was nervous and scared of the news. If they were not going to let us take him home or never.
I know lilly didn't want harry to be in her sister care as she always mean to her or she was jealous but we never knew only her parents knew how she felt. This was making me want to run away again and don't stop.
Then the minister comes out and says congratulations you can take him with you he's now under your care. I see harry and Ron cheering about the news and molly and Arthur hugging us. Well done you two I'm glad harry can stay with you both from now on instead of his aunt said molly.
We head back to grimmauld place and make ourselves dinner as I took harry to get the rest of his things from his aunts home. We enter and they ask why we were her and show them the adoption papers and there faces were shocked.
8pm
We were done and we get ready to go and that's when lillys sister stops me and asks if we can talk as he gets ready to leave in the fireplace. Harry head back for me and I will see you there I said as he nods and leaves.
I waited to say take care of him I know I was always jealous of lilly but I was always protecting him I never wanted him to die the same way my sister did said petunia. Thank you I will always make sure he's protected and cared for and I know lilly would be proud of you I said. We say our goodbyes and head back to grimmauld place.
As soon as I land in the fireplace I see remus come and check if I was alright and I told them what happened from start to finish. They were all shocked to hear that as they never knew that and was happy she let us take care of him. We have our dinner and we were talking and having a great day as this is my happiness.
11pm
We show harry where he was sleeping for the night until we could decorate his room as we were gonna start it tomorrow. Harry soon falls asleep and me and remus head to our room as the weasley had gone home.
Hey are you happy we got to have harry I asked. Of course he's James son as we never got to spend our life with him and now he will said remus. I'm glad moony I was scared incase they wouldn't have allowed it I said. I know same here padfoot said remus.
Remus soon fell asleep and I was still awake. Today made me realise I miss James alot he was my best friend and the one person who understood how I feel and my emotions. But taking harry in makes me feel like I still have him here.
I soon fell asleep In remus arms as I'm happy in my life. I'm happy my family are in jail for the murders my cousins and regulas. I even told narcissa about me adopting harry and she was happy to hear about it and happy for us. I hope the dark Lord will be taken down soon and we can live a normal life again.
