Ripping open the door to the closet, Hayato was sitting silent up in the attic. Instead of escaping he realized that there was no time, so instead he took the cat food and scattered it around the floor as quiet as possible.

Opening the attic, Kira entered the dark seemingly empty but chaotic attic. Picking up the cat food next to Stray Cat, he tried to listen to every sound.... "That noise...." He whispered. "Did Stray cat wear itself out trying to get the cat food from the shelf using air? I thought it would stay calm if there was no sunlight hitting it, but I guess a tiny bit of light was coming in." He mumbled, taking a piece of cloth to cover the pot. "Still... I thought that maybe Hayato had gotten in here, but it appears that it was thankfully, just my imagination. If that brat knew the truth about me, I would have had to kill him." He declared closing the attic, not having noticed the small boy hiding out inside the larger wooden box right next to the attic opening having overheard every single word.

"He has Dad's face, but that is not my dad. Who... Wh-Who the hell is he?!" He whispered terrified, feeling utterly alone in the darkness, hugging his knees, an unspoken attempt at comforting himself.
