She wasn't your typical independent woman in the modern era- not in a long shot.It wasn't her fault per say but she was not brought up as the average middle class citizen. She was adopted. Her father was a relative that had been the closest to her by blood.
Originally she thought that because she was placed on his door step as a child that he was her father by blood, but no it was merely that whoever had dropped her off was keeping with the centuries long tradition of foster care and passing the proverbial torch.
Perhaps that was why her DNA was consider very exceptional even among her direct kin.
She was part of the royal bloodline that's no longer in power to the knowledge of the public. She suspect that her family was still in charge, just not the way it was before.
This type of hot potato seemed to work as she looked a lot like a long dead relative that was quite the comedian. Probably why her grandmother sought her out after the funeral.
Her dad was a healthy and strong man.
He was murdered the night of her birthday. He went on a dinner date with a beautiful woman and never came home. The police drove her down to the station.

The bakery was new and still hiring after all.
Ah, nepotism. How useful.

"Just remember to close up at 8. Stay safe!", her aunt said. She had three aunts and this is the third one. A short, curvy woman with long black hair and freckles.
She wore pink glasses and a black top with a blue and green skirt. A pink pieces symbol square in the middle of the top.
"Okay, Auntie Feferi!", she smiled from behind the counter.
It was cosy and hazy day, not a lot of customers came in. Only a single man was of any note as he seemed to stare a bit before ordering a cheesecake and leaving.
