"Uh, Lady Y—Y/N?"
"Yes, Colt?"
"Do you believe that it was the right decision to leave those two alive?"
The thought hadn't even crossed her mind, not once since they've left around an hour ago. The two are now deepe into the woods, growing closer to the decreasingly technical villages that are spread out in multiple areas of the NGL. With no horse, they resorted to more walking despite Colt having the ability to create wings from his Nen abilities and use them to fly them around, but she'd rather he'd save it for another attack.
"Not at all. I'm sure they understand that messing with us will resolve in certain desth."
The young man displayed a 'seriously?' sort of expression, but she didn't seem to care much of that.
"Why? Are you scared that they'll try to hunt us down?"
His arms crossed over his chest, steel eyes gazing around the forest defensively.
"Well.. I don't like the idea of killing, but maybe taking out one of them would have put fear into whoever sent them after us."
He had a point, but she assumed they were being watched, and whoever witnessed her power knew not to mess with her.
"If it makes you feel any better, I won't spare the lives of the next batch of idiots who try to harm us."
That wasn't the point, he was worried that despite her obvious strength, she would be one-upped deceitfully and that would be a problem. They'd probably ask for money, threatening her brother and knowing him, he'd do anything to get the only family he had back. Colt is aware that he does true peaceful approaches, then again with how this nation has been treated, it's only a 50/50 chance that would ever work.
Y/N never smiles or laughs when she makes jokes, so he normally everything she says to heart 100 percent of the time.
But he couldn't protest too much, he had to take her word for it and hope that nothing comes of this and if it does, the two of them would have no struggle making their lives come to an end. Though truthfully, Y/N was more concerned of why he hadn't bothered to answer her question, the one she asked before they got attacked. The lack of remembrance tugged at her heart, like the sharp end of a knife pricking lightly, though with ever mark the pain is bothersome and annoying.
Her brows knotted together, deciding to just ignore it. If he hadn't remembered, then it's probably isn't important and she shouldn't dwell on foolish things. She knows she'd never lay a hand on her only friend, not in a million years would she hurt him.
And she hoped he knew this.
That she'd protect Colt her life.
"How are your injuries, Lady Y/N? I'm sorry that we had to use some of your rope to stop the bleeding, but I'm sure we could buy some supplies from one of the villages near by."
