Angel has been sitting outside Aki's ward for a few days now. Doctors said he was fine, yet he held no courage to walk in. Not yet. Maybe not ever.

He just kept tugging on his crumpled up shirt and Aki's blazer he stole from the front counter when they first admitted him in. he hasn't had any sleep, either. Not that it mattered, devils don't need sleep. He just sat, stared into the wall before him, and the coffee dispenser at a corner.

"Angeldevil." Someone called to him.

Angel was shocked to find the team there, waiting outside with fruit bowls and sandwiches for him, some even holding flowers . He'd been staring for too long to even notice theyve arrived. Hell, even Makima is here. But that wasn't who called for him.

Kishibe. In his long coat and black trousers. One hand holding a cigarette and the other with a bouquet of flowers.

"Have you eaten?" He looked concerned. Not for Aki. For him.

"No."

Kishibe then looks over to Beam, who's busy playing tag with Denji to realize he's called him, and accidentally knocks Denji over the coffee dispenser. Kishibe sighs, takes another huff of his cigarette. Then he helps himself with another sandwich.

"Here." Throws it onto Angel's lap.

"You both did great out there. I saw you."

Angel's eyes grew wide.

"Huh?"

"What, you think I'm not watching over you two? Don't want my kouhais dying, now do we?" He points to the sandwich.

"Eat. You're paler than death." He walks away, and Angels stomach starts to growl. But he has no appetite. His heart seems to only speak for one thing, and there is only one thing he craves.

"Don't worry now little Devil, he won't die! Just a few stitches and he'll be fine!" Himeno adds, smiling brightly at him. Angel curiously stares at her, the way she walks, the way she talks. And the way her stature lands on people. Himeno is a tall woman. She's also what alot of people call 'hot'. Her eyepatch adds to her mysterious character. It's almost torturous seeing her so happy after everything that's happened to Aki.

Angel wonders how he'd be if he was Himeno, a devil-killing, attractive being.

Aki was seen in the same room as her once, it was a rumor spread around. He didn't like to think about it. It made himself angry to think she's right here, sitting next to him like they're close when all they've ever had was one interaction.

Her smirk on her smooth lips made Angel hate her even more.

The image of Aki being with her left his throat clogged up.

"OI, AngelDevil." She says casually.

"The sandwich isn't gonna eat itself. If you don't want it, I'll have it."

Angel gritted his teeth.

"I can literally kill you with a touch. Don't try me, bitch."

Of course, that's not what he said. Angel would never treat his co workers that way, it was unprofessional. It was wrong. He hands the sandwich over to Himeno and gets up at last. He'd rather eat his own wings than to sit next to her.

The devil made his way to the door that's closed shut, reluctant to open it. But with the whole crowd with him, it's started to annoy him the more he stayed. He had to be the first to see him.

But then the doors open, the doctor appears before him, looking down with a cold stare. Angel, stunned, doesn't move. The doctor clears his throat.

"He's stable, surgery was successful"
