Author: Time to some family time.

You sat outside a café not too far from the mansion with your mom, sister and Lorna. You look around surprised to see it isn't too busy. Even the streets are quite empty as if everyone is still asleep.

Mom: Your father will be meeting us here. I'll tell you all I know until he arrives.

Y/N: You're starting to worry me mom.

Mom: I just want you to know that me and your father love you very much. Nothing will change that okay?

Y/N: Okay now you really are worrying me.

Your mother breathes in and out slowly.

Mom: Do you remember when you were eight?

Y/N: Uhhh... No not really. That is a very odd and specific question. Does it have some relevance to our current conversation topic?

Mom: Do you remember anything before?

Y/N: A bit... Why? What does this have to do with me being kidnapped?

Mom: I know it's difficult to remember things when you were young but the main reason you can't remember being eight is because those memories are gone.

Y/N: Gone?

S/N: Mom... Are you saying what I think you're saying?

Mom: Yes... Your father removed those memories.

You, Lorna and your sister stare at your mother in shock.

Y/N: He removed my memories... But why? I didn't even know he could do that.

Your mom turns to your sister.

Mom: S/N do you remember what I told you the day after Y/N had turned eight?

S/N: You said Y/N was on a trip and that I wouldn't see him for some time... It wasn't a trip was it?

Your mother shakes her head.

Y/N: A trip? What are you talking about?

Mom: Y/N the day after your birthday... Tobias took you from us.

Y/N: What?... Why?

Mom: For a whole year, we searched for you. Your sister's abilities did not manifest until she turned thirteen so she couldn't help.

Y/N: So for a whole year I was... What? A prisoner of Tobias? Why did Tobias take me?

Mom: You'll have to hear why from your father... You weren't exactly a prisoner. You were young and easily influenced. He played with your mind and made you become violent... So when we did finally find you, your father had to erase your memories just to stop you.

Y/N: I was eight... Was it really that bad?

Your mother looks down.

Mom: I'm afraid so.

You once again feel the pain in your head. You hold your head staring at the table as a memory flashes.

(Memory)

You stood in front of Tobias who smirked.

Tobias: Mr L/N... It is time... Time to prove you are worthy of the Mutant gene.

You turn to see Allison smiling at you with pink cheeks in the distance. You give her a brief smile before turning to a group of people. Some Mutants and some not.

Tobias: These are all people unworthy of their place in this world. Prove that you are beyond the pettiness of morality... Prove you are worthy of the title of Mutant!
