In a dusty, oil-scented garage on Earth's Moon, a tinny radio played classic rock music. There was a knock on the rickety shutter. It was a Grimmsnarl with two coffees. A skateboard rolled out from under one of two damaged Interplanetary Police rovers. Triton's face mask, goggles and overalls were black with moon dust. He removed the overalls and thoroughly wiped off any dust that crept around the mask to take one of the cups from his Grimmsnarl.
'Thanks, bro.'

The other coffee was for Jin's little sister, Castra. She was so engrossed in her repair work that she didn't hear the knock and ignored Triton when he tapped her boot.

'Hadron just got back.'
'What?!'
That caught Castra's attention. She and her best friend, Callerya's cousin Aranchi, were Hadron's biggest fans. Hadron and four others had been on Venus, dealing with a faction of Cipher, for over a year.
'Not really. But your coffee is here.'
'Oh... well, cheers.'
Triton's cup was already empty. He sighed as he returned to the skateboard and rolled under the rover. Cipher were out there on the Moon. Triton arrested the lunar leader, sent her back to Earth and had the Shadow Pokémon factory demolished a few months ago. Yet as soon as one minion was arrested, another appeared, rounding up wild Clefairy; attacking scientists for their Pokémon; sticking trackers on Interplanetary Police vehicles, attacking them with pickaxes and harassing their allies in Team Magma. Only a week ago, Castra and Aranchi raided an incomplete Shadow Pokémon factory, built with stolen materials from the Selene program for lunar exploration. Whoever the Grand Master on Earth was, his underlings were passionately loyal.
'So when d'you think the International Police are gonna catch the Grand Master? The year 3000, when he's a Yamask?'
'Nah. 4001. He'll be a Cofagrigus. It's not just him, though. I'm positive they're spurred on by actually managing to take over Mars.'
