Eesha's hand goes to her ears as the gate screeches from the impact caused by grazing concrete floor.

A feeling of Dejavú comes over her.

She glances at the neighborhood, revelling for the shortest of time, the grinding machine's howls, the child crying as his yelling mother beats him, cars moving and ...basically Life.

Lady Teeyah's house is a contrast to the world around her. The old red brick bungalow dressed with moss and complemented by old age. Red Worn out zinc waves as the wind blows as if beckoning Eesha to come in.

And she goes in. Wincing as the gate wails as she closes it. Through the short fence she sees a guy with a top hat over afro full hair. She doesn't pay too much attention to him.

Her eyes take in the aloe vera garden at her right. A well is hidden amongst the plants. There's a path made to avoid trampling her Aunt's darlings,

People who'd usually come to fetch water have the small task of watering the leafs before they leave.

How that policy got implemented is a mystery to Eesha but it's stuck like an old rusted key in an equally old rusted key hole.

By Eesha's left is painted black and red tyres propped on the wall, in it are broom sticks.

The eeriness.

No bird will want to live there.

Eesha walks to the house, the same feeling of this motion happening before comes to her.

But this could not have possibly happened before.

Yes she has argued with her mother several times but it's never reached the point that Eesha will jump out of the window and take the next bus to her Aunts'. Her very Crazy Aunty.

The swing chair on the porch moves front and back, squeaking in the process.

Eesha feels a slight tug on the back of her head accompanied by a twitch from the spider web scar at the right side of her face, she ignores the two sensations as she opens the brown metal door, the smell of paint is still fresh.

There's the screeching sound from the gate, Eesha only glances back to see a top hat and afro.

She closes the door behind her, gloom lighting greets her. The house has always been dark, a result of the useless overly huge, mango tree growing at the neighbor's compound that significantly covered the bungalow.

The scent of burnt bay leaf permeates the room.

What makes Eesha's skin crawl is the aura floating about the old howling house. And though she did not want to think about it but... Mama also had a habit of burning bayleaf.

She's now in the living room. Teeyah De Tara stands in the middle, a pocket watch in her hand, she peers at it grinning with charcoal painted lips.

"Late" She nods in satisfaction.

"Late enough?" Eesha quips, voice low from some energy. It might be her own fear.

"Has Yuri arrived?"

"Uhmmm are you talking of the guy with a hat and afro?"

Her Aunt nods while still staring at the pocket watch. Eesha studies get up and she finds that to be a good reason amongst many other reasons why she doesn't have friends.

For who will want to be friends with the niece of kooky lady version of Dr Facilier from the Frog Princess?

Lady Teeyah is dressed in a fitted coat that flares down at the waist, over a red corset, wearing fitted pants (one will wonder if she can truly walk in them). Heeled Boots with tiny skull beads dangling from the lace.
