"Ahan!" Tïme exclaims. Eesha Amadin jumps a little.
"Pick a card" Five cards appear in his hand. He shuffles them quickly between his fingers. Then throws them, they expand into doors circling around Eesha.
They white doors all have spider images of varying motifs.
One's motif is of a spider within flowers. Another is of a spider on web. Another is a spider in a plain white background. Another is of a spider on water with long stretched legs. The last door has a spider hidden behind dark clouds.
Eesha's head aches and a pull comes from that particular door.
"What's behind the doors?"
"Eesha behind one of these doors is your form. Choose wisely because you are moving in your last hour" The tug is harder, it pulls Eesha, she finds her hand on its knob.
An electric sensation let's her know she made the right decision. The remaining doors turn back into cards then fly to Tïme. With one last look at Lady Teeyah, Eesha opens the door. Warm air blows her then pulls her in.
The place is overriden with darkness. Eesha wobbles then falls down. Where she stands wobbles in the same manner. She'd been on a canoe ride and this felt just like it.
She blinks in an attempt to adjust to the darkness. Nothing changes. The water flows slowly pulling Eesha in the same manner. The tug in her mind guides her. She sits with her legs folded not daring to touch anything.
Silhouettes of things Eesha could not fathom come into view. Her heart pounds in her chest, it's so hard she can hear it. There's rustling and there's howling. There's murmuring and the distant sound of laughter.
The tug intensifies.
A twig breaks and a hiss follows. By now Eesha is thinking.
I'm better off dead.
With another hiss, Eesha's eyes turns to the direction. Dull silver lights from a V shape comes into view. The vessel she's on shakes with the waves. Eesha's heart leaps, goosebumps rise all over her skin.
A bright eight legged creature appears in front of her. A spider made from flame. It illuminates the boat, which turns out to be a coffin.
The Irony.
The spider spits web on a tree. It flies to that direction. The spider enters into a skull hanging on the tree, like the one in the club, the skull emits light from it's openings. More skulls ignite in that manner.
Eesha is now able to see and the first thing she thinks is... I'll much rather the darkness.
Flowing in dark water is green silk like materials, they move like ghosts they might as well be. At either sides of the wide river are leafless black trees holding the skulls. Thick eery fog stays frozen beneath the trees. A snake with bone covered head moves through the trees. A solace to Eesha.
A string pulls the coffin forward. There's laughter in the wind, dark silhouettes move within the trees. Eesha's skin buzzes from the invisible watchers. Masquerades appear within the trees, they dance to their own rhythms following the coffin but never entering the river.
Eesha's stomach twists, her chest heaves, her mouth struggles to move. Internally, she screams but her mouth does not cooperate.
A force hits the coffin, Eesha falls forward. She remains down with closed eyes. The howls and the sounds become louder.
"Do you want to live everyday like this for the rest of your life?" A voice similar to her Aunt asks in her head.
"No!"
"Then get that spider"
With that, Eesha sits up. Her eyes open to see gibbous moon smiling at her, it's more cryptic than comforting still though she doesn't let it affect her. She finds a long bone, she uses it to row herself.
The adamant coffin doesn't go as fast as she wants it to still she doesn't stop. There's the subtle sound of ticking of clock in the distance. The inscense stick appears. Remaining barely 5 minutes before it burns out.
Silk ghosts jump out of the water, they fly towards Eesha spraying water all over the coffin, Eesha screams, she uses the bone to ward them off but it has no effect. The coffin shakes. Masquerades screech then jump into the water, they swiftly swim towards Eesha.
She screams louder bending her head then using the bone to row the coffin, it ends up turning upside down. Eesha swallows water, she struggles to go up but a hand grips her leg. She thrashes then yanks her leg free off the hold. Masquerades attack the coffin. Eesha swims under trying as much to avoid them.
She was a never a good swimmer that's a given but now it came naturally to her. She swims the long distance to the bank. She pulls herself out of the water, then gasps for air the wind congratulates her with a hug and she responds with a shiver.
She doesn't hesitate to begin running, the masquerades notice and they all swim to land. Eesha runs through the leafless trees, panting hard. They slap her, she ignores it. The fog obscures her vision of the ground, a root catches her leg and she goes falling.
Eesha blinks, tears fall down but she doesn't stop. The tug pulls her and she follows its guidance. She crawls in the fog blending with the darkness. The sound of hissing is louder and Eesha notices that the masquerades have slowed down. That knowledge doesn't ease her a bit.
Tick tock tick tock tick tock
A clearing appears, head stones peek through the fog. Eesha gulps then stands up ignoring the various areas of her body that aches. A ruined clock tower lays in the middle of the graveyard. Underneath it, is an arch. This arch has a spider hanging on its web. It moves side to side mimicking a Pendulum.
My form.
Eesha enters into the graveyard. Something grips her ankle yet again, she screams and she pulls her leg up. There's a skeleton hand holding it She pries the fingers off. Releasing from the grip then she attempts to throw the hand away but stops when she sees more hands bulging out off the ground.
The sound of bones and sand moving doesn't go well with Eesha The insence is besides the spider. Less than a minute for it to go off. Eesha shifts back then sprints into the clearing, she uses the bones to slap other hands out of her way. There's the sound of trampling from behind, she runs faster. She stops suddenly then glides back, resting on top of a head stone is a rather familiar black and white spine.
She picks it up, instantly dead hands fall down and the trampling seizes. Eesha dashes to the spider. Its silver butt greets her. It jumps into her hand. Bursts of energy flow into her.
But the burning inscense doesn't stop.
"Get me out of here"
"If you really want to leave then leave" The moon moves like a mouth.
Eesha's mind begins to spin, her heart beats faster. A very peculiar idea comes to her. Very strange indeed but she does it anyways.
She uses the spine and draws a rectangle on the old wall of the clock tower. Her spider spits web into the space between, she then carries the inscense and blows it's smoke on the drawing.
The smoke hits the wall then flows back to her. Eesha does it again and again until the inscense dies out.
