Chapter 3

Koda realized it was an incredibly bad idea, and panicked scrambling in the air mid falling. He shut his eyes and screamed ready for his fate; however, he did not take notice of beep dragging a grubby abandoned mattress where Koda was going to land, Koda landed on the mattress with a thump and still had his eyes closed, he wondered why he hadn't landed hardly and rough and slowly opened his eyes to see...Little collar! ''Are you alright, Koda? '' Beep asked ''Any injuries? '' Koda stayed silent and looked down. They were lying down on a mattress. ''I- H-how did you- Wha??'' Koda was speechless, how could a tiny robot-like Beep pull a mattress!? ''Hehe your reaction is quite funny Koda! Hahaha!'' Koda realized that Beep had emotions...And pulled a huge mattress just to save them! ''Thank you Little collar! '' Koda grabbed Little Collar and pulled him under his chin while holding him with their paws. ''Eeek! Alert! Alert! Being restricted!'' Beep yelped and held his tiny arm to Kodas paw and sent a shock through his arm, hitting Koda. ''YOW!'' Koda yelped ''What was that!?'' Beep had a surprised look on his face. '' Im sorry...'' Beep mumbled ''I'm not supposed to hurt my master. I don't know why that happened.'' Koda heard the pain in Beep's voice and felt guilt. ''it's alright. I forgive you'' Koda and Beep smiled but were interrupted by giggling. A cat with a pure and neat ginger coat that had a collar on was snickering at the two. Beside the cat was a robot about the size of a doberman, Koda thought it was also a little collar because They saw the " LITTLE COLLAR" logo on its chest. ''Oh my gosh! Hah! Would you look at that hah!'' The ginger cat tried to talk but was laughing too much. Koda stood up and flicked his tail in annoyment ''What do you want?'' They snarled ''Oh you foolish rouge! Your being way too kind to your slave! Hehe! Hugging it! You hugged it! Hah!'' Koda was taken aback by the cat's words. ''Beep is not a slave! He is my friend!!'' Kodas tail was lashing side to side as he bared his teeth looking up at the selfish cat. ''Oh rouges are more stupid in person! He thinks of that pathetic little robot as his FRIEND!'' Koda felt the anger surge through their veins, they had enough ''Rrroooww!!'' Koda let out a battle cry and charged at the house cat. The ginger kitty sat there and smiled. Koda felt himself being grabbed and thrown down. It was the cat's little collar that had grabbed him. Beep started hitting the big robot but it had no effect ''Oh my gosh you're killing me! Ahahaha!'' The ginger cat laughed. More anger surged through Kodas veins but he still stayed put. ''Pound em!'' The ginger cat yowled. The big robot lifted his foot over Beep about to stomp on him. Kodas pupils turned into angry slits as he lunged at the big robot. They rammed their head into the glass on the robot's face, cracking it sending shards of glass all over the ground ''ER40R 3R90R'' The robot babbled as sparks flew everywhere. ''My robot!! How DARE you!'' The ginger cat hissed

''Who's laughing now?'' Koda smirked as he pulled Beep closer to his fur. The ginger slowly smiled ''Oh Trigger!'' The ginger cat called, flicking its tail. A huge Tom cat strutted beside the ginger and sat down, it had a beautiful fluffy pure black coat and a chain collar around its neck saying Trigger ''All is well I hope, Valentine?'' He had an intimidating deep voice

''Love, feast your eyes on what this-'' Valentine edged closer to Trigger, causing him to wrap his tail around her to pull her closer and licked his lips. ''-Horrible rouge has done to my robot'' She mumbled. Trigger turned his eyes to the beat up robot, then to Koda. He stood up and walked over to Koda ''Follow me kid.'' He said ''And the tiny robots gotta stay here, Love, don't kill it.'' Trigger said to Valentine. Koda nervously followed Trigger into an alleyway. ''Sit'' Trigger mewed ''Did you have a reason to break her robot?'' Trigger asked

''Yes sir'' Koda replied looking down

''Tell me why,'' Trigger asked. Koda explained why he beat up Valentine's robot and Trigger sighed ''I understand my love can be like that, come, I will get you out of here.'' Trigger said as he started to walk towards a gap in an alleyway, but Koda stayed put ''Beep. I need him. I'm not leaving without him''

''I will get your tiny robot soon.'' Trigger replied.

''Promise?'' Koda asked, Trigger looked into Kodas eyes.

''Yes Koda, Promise'' Koda nodded and followed Trigger to the gap

''I will get your little collar,'' Trigger said before running off. Koda heard muffled talking and perked his ears forward to hear the couple. ''Mi Amor, I have killed that rat, he shall not bother you'' Trigger said to Valentine

''NO! KODA!'' Beep yelped. Hearing Beep wail for Koda made Koda realize that Beep really cared for them ''And this useless piece of metal?'' Valentine purred

''He shall be taken care of my love'' Trigger lied, ''NO NO NO!'' Beep wailed. Koda thought Beep sounded like a Kit complaining, Beep was just a kid, ''LEMME GO!'' Beep yelped again, Trigger trotted back to the gap in the alleyway with Beep screaming in his mouth. As Beep saw Koda he shouted with joy ''KODA! YOUR OK!'' Trigger let go of Beep and Beep hugged his friend Koda looked at Trigger

''Thank you.'' he said

''Any time kid, seeya around'' Trigger smiled. Just as Koda was going to escape, Trigger stopped him ''by the way, when fighting, jump up in the air and get your claws on your opponent, then twist your body while still having your claws grasped on the opponent. That way you can get more damage done'' Trigger said

''Thanks Tri-'' Koda was interrupted by Valentine who was bounding down the alleyway screaming, Koda was in the gap so Valentine hadn't noticed him. Trigger flicked his tail in Kodas face in order for him to leave. As Koda ran away he could hear the voices of the couple ''What's the matter my dear!?'' Trigger said as Valentine ran under his chin. ''Dogs!'' Valentine yelped under her breath. The voices had faded but Koda heard the deathly sound of blood craving dogs barking hissing and yowling. Koda remembered Axel and it made him speed up. Faster and faster he went, he got to the end of the alleyway gap and leaped outside. As he landed in the light of busy streets of robot cars and robot blooping and beeping ''Uhh Koda?...'' Beep was on the end of Kodas tail, holding on ''They don't seem very friendly.'' Beep was looking at three dogs. Who looked hungry. Very hungry ''Should we run?'' Beep asked. Koda was about to run but realized. The dog in the middle of the three had a scar on its snout. That's the dog. The dog who killed Axel. Axel left a scratch mark on the dog's snout while battling, Koda wanted REVENGE. Koda shook Beep off his tail and lunged upward into the air as high as could and locked his eyes on his target's face and outstretched towards him. As he had his claws out he grasped them onto his targets eyes and twisted his body. Drawing blood on his opponent. The dog yelped and ran away with no hesitation and the other two retreated like their leader Koda panted at helping Beep back up onto his tail and felt a sharp pain in his stomach. It was hunger. He had not eaten in a day and was starving. Koda quietly walked back to the other alleyway, as he passed the alleyway Trigger was in he saw Valentine helping him up. He had a horribly injured leg and a bitten eye and other injuries. Koda picked up his pace. Valentine thought Koda was dead so she could not see Koda. As Koda walked, Beep crawled onto Kodas back. Then his head. ''Feeling ok? Koda?'' Beep asked ''Yes I'm doing okay, Beep.'' Koda smiled ''Just tired, that's all'' Koda yawned. ''Y'know Koda. You fought bravely and well back there, with the dogs.'' Beep complemented. Koda smiled once again. ''Thanks Beep. I learnt it from a special someone. I miss them... Alot. '' Koda slowly frowned. Beep didn't know what to say so he just gave Koda a hug. A small, but big hug. It cheered Koda up to get a hug for once. They both reached their alleyway where they met. Koda put Beep down. ''Just going to look for some food, ok? '' Koda said to Beep. Beep nodded. Koda started rummaging around for food to fulfill his hunger. He then came across something soft beneath the trash, fur? He rummaged through some more and was horrified. It was Bruno.
