(Y/N): Your First Name

2nd Person's POV

'Oh God...' you dreaded, seeing black smoke from the kitchen.

You gulped as you took a deep breath, covering your mouth with a handkerchief as you marched inside.

You shielded your eyes from the smoke, feeling tears prickle from the heat as you saw Albert pulling a tray out of the oven.

"Albert!" you called out, letting a cough as he turned to you.

"(Y/N)!" he smiled as he walked up to you, kissing your cheek.

"What are you doing up so early?" he asked as something exploded in the oven.

"That's what I want to ask you..." you muttered, seeing the natural disaster you used to call the kitchen.

Something was dripping from the ceiling, varying in color and consistency, with trails falling onto the walls and the floor.

Towers of dirty dishes were in the sink and counters, and the black smoke looming above your head did not help with the atmosphere.

"I thought you had work this morning?"

"I wanted to surprise you," he answered, showing you the pie in his hands with something bubbling and gurgling inside.

"Since we couldn't buy that pumpkin pie you wanted, I thought I could make one for you," he explained with an innocent smile as a giant bubble popped from the pie.

"I-I see..." you shuddered, sweating bullets as you took a large gulp.

"But this one came out burnt..." he frowned as he threw the pie away.

You internally thanked whatever God or deity saved you from certain death.

"Then, how about we make one together?" you offered, making him raise a brow.

"Do you know how to bake?"

"Not exactly... But it's more fun if we do it together, right?" you smiled, grabbing an apron.

'This way, I can see what Albert is doing in the kitchen...' you thought, internally apologizing to your lover as you turned to him.

"So?" you smiled, hugging his arm as you gave him puppy eyes.

He breathed out a smile as he kissed your forehead, giving in.

"All right," he confirmed, making you cheer.

"For now, let's clean up,"

After cleaning everything from the ceiling to the floor, you and Albert started working on the pie.

You would catch him putting in additional ingredients, saying maybe it'll help enhance the flavor, and misunderstanding the directions, but you managed to convince him otherwise.

Other than that, you two enjoyed cooking the pie together.

"Where are you going?" you asked as you watched Albert walk out of the kitchen.

"I thought some music would help," he smiled, putting on some music from the phonograph.

"Shall we?" he asked, pulling your hand as he danced with you.

You laughed as he twirled and caught you, kissing you in the dip position.

"The crust might burn, Al!"

"Then we'll just make another one,"

"And now, we wait..." you sighed and stretched your back, leaning onto the wall as you watched the pie cook in the oven.

"I still think adding something in it wouldn't hurt," Albert pouted, making you chuckle.

"Well, maybe we can try it next time," you offered, grabbing his hand and kissing his knuckles.

"So we're doing this again?" he smirked, hugging your waist and resting his forehead on top of yours.

"I don't see why not," you grinned, wrapping your arms around his neck and kissing him.
