2nd Person's POV
"(Y/N) (L/N)," Sherlock said with his hand in yours, standing up from his seat.
"What are you doing...?" you whispered, confused, as everyone in the restaurant looked at you both.
Sherlock took a deep breath as he knelt down, earning gasps from everyone, including your mother.
"Will you marry me?"
Earlier that day...
"Be your fake boyfriend?" Sherlock repeated as you bowed your head to him.
"Yes, not a real one, of course," you reassured, raising your head.
"Just on dinner tonight," you added, making Sherlock raise a brow.
"They've been bugging me with marriage lately... They're worried that I'll grow into a lonely spinster," you sighed, remembering the times your mother asked for grandchildren as your father listed the qualities a suitor of yours should have.
"Okay... but why me?"
"Because I trust you," you answered with a sincere smile, catching Sherlock by surprise, "And my parents already like you,"
"Really?" he questioned, a doubtful expression on his face.
"...Okay, they only know you through John's books, but!" you exclaimed, stopping him from leaving.
"I'm sure they'll like you, anyways!" you added, making Sherlock sigh and scratch his head.
"Please? They've been setting me up on dates with people I never met," you sighed, exhausted from the memories alone as you held onto his arm.
"I don't even know how to act like a boyfriend," Sherlock reminded, pulling his arm.
"We'll be fine! We've been mistaken for a couple a bunch of times already," you reassured, not letting him go.
"...Fine," he answered, making you beam a smile.
"But you owe me big," he sighed as you nodded.
"Thank you!" you exclaimed, hugging him tightly, making him freeze.
"We're having dinner at Wilton's at 7," you quickly said as you gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
"You're a lifesaver, Sherl!" you waved goodbye with a grin as you went home, preparing for dinner.
Sherlock stood in the middle of the room with a dumbstruck expression, his hand on his cheek.
As soon as the sound of the door closed, John peeked his head by the doorframe.
"So?" he asked in excitement, "Did you confess to them yet?"
Sherlock breathed out, shaking his head, much to John's disappointment.
"Why not?"
"(Y/N) asked me to be his fake boyfriend so their parents won't force them to go on blind dates," he answered, plopping down on the couch as he rubbed his forehead.
John sighed as he sat down, thinking along for a plan.
"Okay... It's not what we hoped, but we can make this work,"
You looked around the street, shifting your weight in your feet from your soles to your heels as you waited for Sherlock.
"(Y/N)!" your ears perked up at Sherlock's voice.
"And here I thought you were-" you turned to Sherlock, seeing him in a suit with his hair properly tied back.
Your eyes widened at the sight, only seeing him this cleaned up when he visited the Queen.
"Well, look at you," you teased with a grin, making the man roll his eyes.
"Don't get used to it," he flicked your forehead, making you wince and giggle.
"It was a compliment!" you grinned, making Sherlock smile as he took out his arm for yours.
"Let's just get going. Hopefully, I don't have to be your fake fiancé by the end of it too,"
