Chapter 17

In the morning Sheena and Adam went their separate ways today was his day to work with the doctors. Sheena was going to visit Elenore Dayton Nora and Percival's daughter. She wanted to give her something Nora had passed down to her. It was not much but it had meant something to Nora, so it was only right Elenore should have it.

She arrived at The Sparrows London home. It had been a long time since she had been to this estate. The time Nora and Sheena were close was before she got married but they would get together at least once a year. She was shown into a room where a young boy was playing with Elenore. She had to think for a moment Percival did not have any other children could this be the Duke of York sitting on the floor playing with the child? It would make sense since he was the grandson of the woman Percival had always been in love with Ada Nash.

She knew for sure it was the Duke when the butler called her your grace the young boy looked up as if he was the one being addressed. Once he noticed Sheena in the room, he called Ellie's attention to her. He had been expecting the Duchess of Marlborough to come and talk with her.

"Ellie her grace is here to talk with you?"

The little girl looked up and smiled. Sheena was surprised she was the spitting image of Nora. The child stood and bowed. She was a pretty little thing her hair was the color of corn silk, and her eyes were the blue of her mother's.

Sheena sat on the sofa and patted the seat next to her, and the little girl came to sit by her.

"Hi Elenore, my name is Sheena and I was a friend of your mum. I just thought it would be nice to get to know you a bit."

"You knew my mum?"

"Yes, I did she was one of my very best friends. We used to go do things together. She gave me something I would like to give you is that alright?"

The child nodded her head letting her know she would accept the gift.

"When I was younger your mum gave me this coin. It was very special to her because the King had given it to her. It is a five-shilling dollar coin. She this blue dot on the coin?"

The child looked closely at the coin to see the blue dot she was talking about. After her inspection, the child pointed out the dot, and Sheena smiled.

"Yes, that is the one. She put that on the coin, so she knew never to spend it. She told me it was her good luck piece since the King of England gave it to her."

The young Duke who had been forgotten asked her a question bringing attention back to himself.

"Why would the Duchess give it to you if it was precious to her?"

"That is a good question, your grace. You see I was going off by myself to a foreign country and I would be away for a long time. She wanted me to take something lucky with me that would remind me of my homeland. It was just that simple."

She laughed when he hmphed at her words as if to say well that is plausible. She had to wonder if Ada or Percy were training him he seemed to be very discerning. That was what the Nash and the Daytons did they trained agents for the crown. Specifically, the assassin class of agents. That was not something Sheena was taught she was an information gatherer. She had never killed anyone in her life, and she did not plan on it. Not even her brother if the need arose.

When Sheena left the children, she decided to go and visit Quinn the Duchess of Nottinghamshire she had heard Quinn was in town and she liked talking to the girl. They were both agents and about the same age. When she arrived at her London home there was chaos. Seems Weston's sister's kids were visiting for the holidays. Weston came in with the tea he looked frazzled. He collapsed on the sofa next to his wife. Sheena laughed. What was he going to do when they had their own children?
