Gaara
The night seemed to drag on forever. Toph and the others had fallen asleep and I laid on the couch, studying the notes I had taken from the book. I've never slept much, any time I try I'm greeted with a large amount of dread and fear. I'm still not entirely sure why, but I've just learned to live with an insomniac mind.
I studied for a few moments before placing the notes back on the table. I sat up on the couch and leaned my head back. I thought for a moment, wondering how Toph planned on letting her group know that she would be staying in Sunagakure to train me. I don't know what reaction to expect from Aang and the others.
A few hours passed and the sun began to rise. It wasn't long before I heard a door open from the hallway, followed by a loud yawn. Aang walked down the hall and began stretching.
"I feel great! Today is another day of traveling and training." Aang said cheerfully.
'Seems like quite the morning person.' I thought to myself.
He took notice of me sitting on the couch. "Oh, good morning Gaara. How'd you sleep?"
"I didn't." I said, looking towards him.
Aang looked very confused, but he shook it off and didn't ask much else of it. A few moments later Sokka came flying down the hall, hitting the ground and causing a loud thud.
"Why do you have to be so rough, Katara? I only wanted a few more minutes of sleep." Sokka complained, as he got to his feet and dusted himself off.
Katara stomped down the hall, looking at Sokka. "We don't have any time to waste, we need to get going."
"I see, so you're heading out already?" I said.
Aang scratched his head, "Yeah.. We have a lot to do and not a lot of time. I know we just got here, but.."
"I understand."
Aang nodded with a smile and then looked around the room. "Hey guys, where is Toph?"
A large silence followed the question, as Katara and Sokka shrugged.
"Her room is at the end of the hall." I said, looking at Aang.
He walked down the hall and knocked at the door. "Toph, wake up! We have to get going."
No answer.
Aang knocked again, and this time Toph came to the door. The two of them walked down to the end of the hall.
