It was a bright and sunny day. Two foxes named Christina (the lazy, athletic one) and Sofia (the smart and playful one) were sitting in their den. "Hey, I'm kind of hungry." Sofia says.
"Well, go hunting then." Christina replies bitterly. Sofia pulls Christina's tail outside.
"Hunt... NOW." She claimed forcefully. Christina hopped to her paws.
"Ok ok fine. Bet I can catch more than you." Christina said with a smirk.
"Remind me. Who has the brains?" Sofia questioned.
"Yeah, but who has the brons?"
Sofia rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Let's go."
After an hour of hunting, they made their way back to the den. Sofia caught a bird and two mice. Christina caught a leaf. "Really?" Sofia questioned.
"What?! It took me like... A whole 2 seconds to find this leaf." Sofia never responded. They went over to a frozen lake to eat their prey. After they ate, Sofia took a small walk on the iced lake. "I don't think you should do that." Christina yelped.
"It's fine! I'll be-" she didn't finish. She fell into the ice cold water. Christina instantly started to laugh. "Quiet you!" Sofia yelled.
"Hahaha. Sorry, it's just that... You're all set and cold!" Christina laughed. Sofia walked back to the den with no words said.
When they were both at the den, Christina fell immediately asleep. "Goodnight." She yawned.
"It's only quarter till moon down!" Sofia replied.
"Eh.. Oh well." Christina finished. Sofia rolled her eyes.
After about 30 minutes, Sofia's stomach started to growl. "Psst! You asleep still?" Sofia whispered to Christina. Nothing. "Hey! Christina!" She whispered again. Nothing. Sofia got up and ran out of the den. She decided to go hunting on her own.
10 minutes later, Sofia returned home with two mice and an angry Christina at the mouth of the den.
"What did I tell you about hunting without me?!" Christina yelled.
"You were asleep. I tried to wake you up." Sofia replied.
A long term of scilence and growling tummies. "Do you wanna eat?" Sofia questioned.
"Yes. Just never go hunting without me again." Christina replied. They ate dinner and layers in their grass patches. "Do you ever wonder if there are any other foxes in these woods? Or deer? Or owls? Or even a unicorn?!" Christina asked.
"No. That's kind of stupid. We're the only animals in these woods. We may be the only animals in the world." Sofia finished with a yawn.
