Friday, March 20, 1965. 50 years before present day. First official sighting of Andromeda.

The sounds of an old S.H.I.E.L.D computer beeped silently in the background of Jeremy Hill's mind as he concentrated solely on his telescope, looking at the Andromeda Galaxy millions of lightyears away from Earth. It had been weeks since the last disturbance. Jeremy knew that this disturbance hadn't been an accident. For the past 6 months there had been multiple disturbances and abnormalities in the space around the Andromeda galaxy.

For being the top Astrophysicist of his time, Jeremy knew a pattern in space when he saw one. Galaxy's and their formation had always been his passion. He knew when they were created and he knew when they would cease to exist. But not with the Andromeda galaxy. He traced to the farest reaches of the universe that he could see, looking for signs of how Andromeda came to be. He found none, and this one thought, that Andromeda is connected to some higher being in the universe, shook him to his core. Of course working for S.H.I.E.L.D, Jeremy has had his fill of extraterrestrial voodoo. All the way from Captain America and his creation, to The Tesseract and its sudden disappearance.

"What could you be?" Jeremy whispered harshly to himself as he started at the computer monitor. Hours had passed since the estimated time of the expected disturbance and he was worried that all of his calculations would need to be thrown away.

"But I'm always right! Why wasn't I this time?" he asked himself, but he quickly caught himself.

"I better stop with this now or I'll start to sound like Howard.", Jeremy chuckled lightly to himself as he thought about one of his best friends, Howard Stark, probably the smartest man in the world, even more than Jeremy. It was nearing 3 a.m now and Jeremy was just about to fall asleep-

"BEEP-BEEP-BEEP", the computer screen lighted up with red and green. Jerking awake, Jeremy quickly got to work. His eyes scanned the screen looking for signs that something really was going on. Darting from computer to telescope he noticed something on the infra-red camera. Zooming to the maximum, Jeremy took a picture of something that would lead to the demise of his career and ultimately, his death.

In the center of the Andromeda Galaxy he saw something so incredible, so unbelivable and so unfathomable he couldn't comprehend what happened. In the center of the galaxy there was a body. A body of what he was not sure, it was so small and so faint that he could not be sure what it was. Unsure of his discovery, Jeremy kept the information to himself, until it would be needed.

Sunday, April 25, 1965. Nick Fury's 6th birthday.

''Well, you've done it again Jeremy!" Jack Fury said as he clapped Jeremy Hill's shoulder in a friendly manner.

''You beat the father at his own game!" Jack says as both men turned to look at young Nick as he set up his new telescope courtesy of Jeremy Hill.

"Have you seen anything new about that Andromeda anomaly?" Jack asked in all seriousness, ''guys back at S.H.I.E.L.D are getting antsy. Some are calling you crazy, I'm just worried about you. With what you told me, we could be getting into something more serious that we anticipated.''
