The Darkness sits quietly at his desk calculating his next move. Snow silently collecting on his window sill. Cold Russian air makes the window panes shake with frost. Despite the cool air outside the sanctuary of the stone fortress nothing of this planet can compare to the evil like cold settling in the depths of his core. The Darkness was more than upset with himself. His entire plans ruined.
He had lost his angel.
Of course The Darkness knew that Andromeda would rather die than be called an angel by him. But there was no denying her unparalleled beauty, the sophisticated air of a Goddess that never left her, and the fiery passion of a Valkyrie Warrior that made her golden eyes always appear molten.
And he hated her for that. He hated the way she took control of a situation, how her innocent features would stare into the depths of his being and he hated how she was hopelessly in love with a DemiGod she couldn't remember.
But she could have been his.
All it would have taken was a wipe from the machine that Dr.Schmidt spoke so highly of, and she would have been a mindless battle drone. Willing to comply to his every command. Maybe then Thanos would finally accept him as the rightful leader of this whole scheme. It already takes enough energy to keep up the alter-ego of General Noir while managing an army of Chitauri without unleashing his true form. If only Thanos would realize his true potential as a leader.
A strong gust of wind smashing against his window breaks The Darkness from his reverie. He senses a new presence in his stone stronghold. He is here. The Darkness closes his eyes while waiting for his guest to show up.
"I figured you couldn't wait to show your measly face around here again Astraeus." The Darkness says with an undertone of malice. If there is one thing he hates more than Andromeda herself, it is her prophecy and the stupid messenger that comes along with it, Astraeus.
"Oh Darkness, how lovely it is to see you again! I can assume that you've been meddling in business that isn't yours again?"
"It is my business! I have every right to be a part of it as you do!" The Darkness growls at his intruder.
"Of course, how could I be one to judge. I'm only the messenger of the fates. Destined to be intertwined with her as much as you, which is not a lot my friend." Astreaus says with a sly smirk.
"Just get to the point."
"If you want me to put it bluntly, The Fates are upset. Even that is putting it lightly. Your intervention into the life of Andromeda has completely twisted and frayed the string of her life. She has no definite end to her life."
"This affects me how?"
"It doesn't, and that is the problem. Don't take this the wrong way Darkness but you're the villain of Andromeda's past and you will be the villain of her future, that is if this problem is fixed. All the Fates request is that you refrain from interfering in her life until she meets 'The Wielder of the Hammer'."
"Very well. If that is what they request, I shall comply. For now."
"The Fates will remember this." Astreaus says before disappearing.
The Darkness lets out a sigh before walking out of his office door and down the hallway to the main control room.
It was time to check on his little Angel.
