The disappearance of sinox

Wrath stared at him silently, his expression unreadable. After a few moments, he grunted and motioned for Sinox to follow, heading deeper into the alleyway. Sinox glanced around nervously at their surroundings before falling into step beside Nightshade .
"So, uh," Sinox started tentatively, glancing sideways at him. Nightshade ignored him. "You wanted to talk? What's the matter? Why are we here? What happened?"
Nightshade finally spoke up and Sinox almost flinched at his sharp tone, "Shut it, will ya? You think you're so fucking smart, don't you?"
Sinox froze and shook his head slightly. This was it. Nightshade had figured out why he had been gone. "What?"
Nightshade turned abruptly, his fist raised, ready to strike him again. Sinox backed up against the nearest wall, wincing as it dug painfully into his shoulder. "I asked you a question! What's up with your little group? We've been searching all day! Where have you been?" Nightshade snarled.
Sinox hesitated before lowering his hands to his sides. He kept his voice low, wary of attracting unwanted attention to them. "It's a long story."
Nightshade shook his head. "Save the shit. Tell us where you've been. Now."
With that, Nightshade whirled and stormed away from Sinox. Sinox stayed frozen, watching the feed for a while longer until he decided that whatever Nightshade wanted to hear was definitely more important than whatever Sinox was trying to tell him. Slowly, he began to move after Nightshade , keeping close to the wall until they had disappeared around the corner and Sinox was certain Nightshafe wasn't anywhere near.
When Sinox was sure Nightshade was gone, he darted forward quickly before he lost his nerve. There was no doubt about it now: they knew. They had probably figured it out weeks ago. The only question left was whether or not they knew about the others.
