Then . . . . Diiiiiing!

The bell rings for the last day of high school. And everyone applauds and cheers.

"I'm gonna miss you guys." Eric says.

"We're gonna miss each other." Matt says.

I put my PSP GO in my crossbody bag and slowly walks up to Miss. Lane.

"Violet Benton. One of my brilliant students." Miss. Lane says to me.

"Miss. Lane." I say to her.

She and I exchange small smiles at each other as we hug. And we pulls away from the hug.

"I am so proud of you, Miss. Benton. You've been through so much as a high school student, but you kept being strong. And for that, I am proud of you. Good luck to you." Miss. Lane said to me with a small smile.

I smile a little. "Thank you, Miss. Lane."

Miss. Lane chuckles softly. "You're welcome. Now, go on, mingle with your best friends. I'll see you later on this evening at prom."

I smile and walks away from her. Minutes after, the Benton Gang and the high school students are signing each other's yearbooks.

Cherry and I exchange looks at each other as we approach each other.

"Well, this is it, Violet." Cherry says to me.

"I'm gonna miss you too, Cherry." I say to her.

Cherry and I embrace in a one-arm hug. And we pull away from each other.

"We can still video chat and keep in contact with each other." I said.

"I know. I know. But admit it, Violet, you're gonna miss Somerville High."
Cherry said.

"Yeah. I will." I said.

Cherry gently takes my green Somerville yearbook, opens it to a page and signs "I'll Miss You, Violetquinn." in green marker.

I gently take Cherry's yearbook, opens it to a page and signs "Miss You Cherry-poo." in green marker.

Cherry and I exchange looks at each other. And shares our last one-arm hug.
