Chapter 11: Ethereal Connections

Hi hello, I managed to complete the chapter for a long time. Another college semester season is up so my schedule is going to be packed.

Still have to manage my time throughout currently, but I'll be able to put some bit of time to focus on writing.

So here I want to include some additional stuff in this chapter, such as traveling in other places, more Social Links, and some game mechanics written.

Tuesday 09/30

Morning has arrived, and the light through the window greeted Sunny's face. He sat up from his bed to stretch his body before he removed himself from it. As he goes to his closet for a change of clothes, Sunny turns to search for Morpheus, who is at the side of the bed, resting his head on the mattress. He then proceeds to wear a new attire again for school this time, as he discards his pajamas to his basket. After Sunny gathered his supplies in his bag, he and Morpheus went to exit the room and go to the dining room.

As usual, Miyuki and Takuma are in the kitchen preparing food. When Sunny approaches them, his mom is the one to greet him first.

"Good morning, Sunny," she said, "Did you sleep well?"

"Morning," Sunny replied, "And yeah, I've slept alright."

"That's good," Miyuki smiled, as she handed him his lunchbox, "You know, it's been nearly a month since we've been in the city. How do you feel living here now?"

"It's great actually," Sunny answered, "The school's nice, I met some nice people, and got friends throughout the time. I enjoyed it here, even with the Basil, and maybe others, having to visit too."

"That's great to hear, have you considered going to Faraway to visit?"

From his mom's question, Sunny was reminded about that. He and Miyuki had discussed it days ago regarding Sunny using the bus to go to Faraway. He recalled that Miyuki allows him to go if he has the time after school with weekends being included. Sunny thought he could do this one day during the week.

"Yes," Sunny responded, "But I wouldn't do it today. Maybe during the week one day."

"Alright, that's fine," Miyuki nodded, "If you were going to Faraway, be sure to return before nighttime, okay?"

"Okay, but I can assure you I'll be careful around here."

"I'm just reminding you, that's all. Oh, and before I forget."

Miyuki turns to Takuma, and he looks back when she feels her presence. He then nodded when reminding himself, giving her a bottle.

Miyuki then hands it to Sunny, "Your dad also made you a drink for your lunch."

"Oh, really?" he said, taking the bottle, "Thanks."

"It's no problem," Takuma replied.

"Alright, you can go to school, have a nice day, sweetie," Miyuki proceeds to ruffle her son's hair.

Sunny nodded as he went to exit the apartment with Morpheus following behind. When they made it to the sidewalk, they turned in the direction leading to the school. While walking, Sunny became curious about what his dad made for him, so he opened the bottle to take a whiff. Then, a familiar scent of matcha hit his nose. Sunny remembered the time years back when his parents would make matcha tea for him and his friends. The smell makes him nostalgic when thinking about it. After some time, he closes the bottle to continue walking.
