The word "burn" makes my heart jump.
To say you were burned has more effect than any other symptom of suffering you could use. I feel like burning is as close as you can get to the gut wrenching you feel inside.
Scorched. Caustic. Burn.
They all mean the same thing.
But everytime I hear it,
My heart stops and remembers what that feels like.Yeah, I've been burned by an oven and stove before. Just today I was cooking and my mom was telling me to be careful with all the grease, yet even though I felt the damned popping on my arm, it didn't hurt.
Because all I could think was how much it hurts to be burned by a human.
And it's so easy to make someone feel things like that. It can be a one word, a sentence - maybe a look.
They'll say they don't see it, but the truth is they don't look.
There - didn't you see the slight crease in her eyebrows before she smiled? Maybe the way she gently tugs on her sleeve when you get near? And just maybe, you can see the fire behind a syllable she says.
Scorched. Caustic. Burn.

I am seriously considering remaning this series "The Labyrinth of Suffering, after reading my new obsession Looking For Alaska. The book just really spoke to me, and it's catchier and shorter than TIWTSBND.
Tell me your thoughts if you care. If not, carry on please x
Thank you all for reading! See you next time. xoxo
