#05 一 Avoidance

school sucks.
this will be my first update after months of hiatus/off and happy new year ig :)

"What do you mean khya isn't here?"

"She took a day off" rina answered. "Huh?" the male looked at her and let out a gentle chuckle. "She agreed that i could court her and yet she's not here where i know i can meet her" ran said and run his fingers on his hair.

"I came alone so i might as well stay for a while" ran said and move walking towards the table taking a sit on the chair as he looked outside the window glass.

As costumers walked in, Ran decided to stand up and went to the counter. "I would like to order a pastry, something you can recommend to me that you think i would like and.. just one coffee" he said a hesitation on his voice as he ordered the last.

Rina nodded taking notes and doing her work. Ran walk back on his table and sat down leaning his back against the chair. He looked outside and noticed that many costumers are coming in.

As rina came up to his table ran look her up. "Don't you get tired working alone?" he asked looking at rina. She shook her head "I'm used to it" she answered. "Also.. here" she spoke as she handed him a tiny paper before walking back to the counter.

Ran look at her before turning his attention to the paper. It has all Khya's social account. Ran couldn't help but smile and let out a small laugh as he stare at the note.

'I already know some of this..'

He then pull out his phone from his pocket and search for her account. He already know some of Khya's accounts but he doesn't know the other. He can't deny that he usually stalk her social media to check on her.

'dump account? what is this?'

ran start to scroll down at her post that are all of her rants. he smiled as he saw her rant about him and he knew that even if there's no name mentioned he already knew its him.

he smiles the whole time he reads her rants quietly in his mind and when he reached the day she went to the club he read her rants seriously.

         At all the club i checked in with all the years i drink and I'll meet you here? can't you see i hate to look at you knowing that if i let my feelings control me i would fold and i hate it.

he reads silently and scroll down to his recent post as he accidentally refreshed and a new post popped.

         Feeling like i need to go there. I don't know if i should and if i should expect to see you there. It was that place, the place where you ended things up.

Ran stares at her new post and bit his lower lip as he let out a sigh. He looked at the table seeing the coffee and pastry bread that rina put there earlier. He took the bread and take a bite before looking at the coffee.

He haven't try it once, he doesn't want to. But to completely remember the aroma of the coffee, he clearly remembers her, how she loved to drink coffee, how she enjoyed staying in the Cafe.

He took a sip and try to get used with the taste of it. Once he finished with the bread he stood up and went to the counter with the coffee on his hand. "Hey, rina-chan. I'll take this out" he said.

Rina nodded knowing what he's indicating. She took the mug of coffee and take a cup placing the coffee in and giving it to him back. "Thank you for the stay" rina said. Ran nodded and put the money on the counter before walking out the cafe.

He looked at the cup in his hand as he walk in the alleyway. He doesn't know where he wanted to go but his feet are leading him somewhere and he already know what his mind wants.

He continues walking knowing that the location is a bit far he chose to walk taking his time as he tries to take a tiny sip on the coffee on his hand.

As he continues to walk he look at the way he's going to and notice that he's already near. He walk for more and once he arrives at the location his eyes widen as he saw her sitting on one of the bench around.

"Khya" He called and walk towards her. She turn to his direction as she heard someone called and she didn't expect it to be him. "Ran? what are you doing here?" she asked.

"I was.. just thinking about this place" he said completely lying as the real reason of this is because there's a possibility that he'll see her here and he did.

"Really? that's nice" she said as she continue sitting on the bench. she turned her attention on his hand noticing him holding something. "Is that a drink from the cafe?" she asked.

"Oh, yes. I was in there earlier" Ran answered. "I took my breakfast there" he said.

"Do you want some?" he asked.

"What drink is that?" she asked him. "It's a coffee.." he answered receiving a slight shock expression from her. "well.. that's rare" she spoke.

"But sure, i would like to" she said looking at him. "Here" he said as he handed her the cup. He looks at her as she take a sip of the coffee. Enjoying how her expression lights up while she enjoy drinking the coffee.

"Also, i was thinking about what i said yesterday" Ran started. "What about it?" Khya asked as she turned to him. "I know you'll try anything just to avoid meeting me, khya"

"and?"

"And im telling you that I'll do anything just to prove to you that i want to fix everything, to fix about us" he says. "and i know i fucked up years ago by breaking up with you. It wasn't my intention really, im sincerely sorry for the pain i caused you"

She looks at him as he spoke. she didn't know what to say to him, what to think. "And I'll prove myself that im worthy of the second chance I'm asking you"
