Training went well on the first day. Everyone did as they were told but I can't help but think of why Max wants to eliminate some of them again. To be factionless is the worst thing anyone can do. My mother will look out for them there. I'm starting to wonder why we have to eliminate some of the new initiates. Jeanine from Erudite might have something to do with this as well as Tris's parents from Abnegation.

I walk down the dark hallway and insert the key to my apartment door. Cloud runs up to me and jumps on me "Hey buddy how are you doing" I pet him and he sniffs at my boots. The smell in the room is of sweet cherry blossom scent. How odd. Before Tris moved into my apartment these scents were non existent to me. It's refreshing. I see her sitting by the computer studying something. I sneak up from behind her and start rubbing her shoulders. "that feels so relaxing" she says while letting her head drop to the front. She looks at me and her eyes are dark from underneath. She's tired and by the looks of her she hasn't been getting much rest lately. "Why don't you rest in bed and I'll worry about the reports we have to do on the initiates" I say. She slowly gets up from the desk and heads towards the bed. "Why do we have to eliminate initiates?" She asks me "I am not sure? it is something we have to figure out. I can ask Tori in the morning she might have information about it" I let her know. Before she disappears into the bed room she looks at me with a smile and a worried look "I don't want them to be factionless. Your mom will be mean to them there. I can't imagine her being nice to anyone but you" my mother isn't a very nice person. Flashbacks of the first time they met replay in my memory. My mother Evelyn and Tris never really did get along. "I know" i tell her and sit in the computer desk and finish up the reports.

"Hey this new initiate Lea from Amity she reminds me a little of someone I met" I yell from across the room. Tris doesn't seem to hear me but I am referring to her. Lea is thin and average height. She doesn't seem like she is cut out to be in dauntless but I cannot underestimate her. Tris surprised me her first few days as a dauntless initiate and now she is incredibly strong and ambitious.
