I was at the school's highest point, lying down with my hands behind my head, staring up at the clear blue sky.
I heard the tareacce door creek open.
"How did you know I'd be here?" I asked, smiling tiredly.
"You always come to high places whenever you're trying to acctully think with that brain of yours." Mason replied, lying down next to me.
"It's been 3 years huh?" He shut his eyes.
"Indeed. So, you still street fight?"
"I didn't want to quit."
I smiled. "Good for you."
"Yeah. Good for me." He sighed. "So, you really quit." It was more of a statement than a question.
"As you can see." I sat up and directly looked at him. "Are you still in contact with the others?"
"I'm not in contact with her, if that's what you're asking."
Breathing a sigh of relief, I asked again. "Do you know where she is? What she's doing? How she's doing?"
This time Mason sat up, pressing his lips into a slight frown. "I'm sorry."
I nodded in understanding.
"You're sorry for what?" The blue haired boy poked his head between the door, making it creek.
"Jordan! How long have you been there?" Mason asked, his voice slightly raised.
"About a second?" The Jordan guy thought out loud.
"Give me your number." I pulled my Samsung note 3 out.
"647-515-2973." Mason replied, smiling. "I didn't think you'd ask for my number.
"Why? Though it's been a long time, you are my friend. A very close one at that."
"Wait! Am I missing something?" Blue head asked, looking back and forth between Mason and me. I'd forgotten his name again.
Mason stood up, ignoring him. "I'm glad you still feel that way."
He reached his hand down to me and I grabbed it, pulling myself up. "Thanks."
He nodded. "Don't mention it."
I walked past him and blue head.
"Join the club! If you change your mind!" He called after me.
"Eh? What? What? Does she street fight? Is she......
Blue heads voice became less audible as I walked away from them.
