"Ms. Katelyn Scarlet! Please report to the main office!"

The speakers rang out. "I repeat, Ms. Katelyn Scarlet! Please return to the main office!"

"You heard the announcement Katelyn." The annoying ass teacher stated.
"Off you go."

I made my way to the office, pushing the doors open.

I walked to the receptionist.

"Katelyn." I stated.

She pointed to a door that read "Mrs. Janette Benhur. N-S."

I walked in and was greeted by an old brunette in her late 50's.

"Katelyn Scarlet?"

I gave a nod.

"Please sit down."

I obeyed and sat on the chair, trying to move it in front. But apparently, it was bolted to the floor.

The woman's office was cramped and stuffy.

"I believe this is the first time we've met." She offered me her had, I shook it. "I am Mrs. Benhur, your guidence councilor."

I had a guidence councilor? That was new.

"Why am I here?" I questioned.

"As you can see, your report card is a bit.....lacking."

What? That was it? I was called here for a damn report card?

"What about it?"

"We are already halfway through semester 1, therefore the only way you can get some extra credits is joining a club and doing volunteer services."

"I refuse to........

I stopped halfway through my sentence.

What was I gonna say just then? That I couldn't care less? I felt like punching myself in the gut. No wonder Mason kept pushing me to join the club.

A sarcastic smirk lifted my lips.

I kept saying I was here for a new start but, honestly, had I put in any effort? Since the time I joined this school, I haven't touched a single book, I haven't studied for a single test.

How the hell did I convince myself that this was a new start? This could only be a new start if I worked towards it.

Taking a deep breath, I made up my mind. "I'm joining the street fighting club. As for volunteer work, give me whatever you see fit."
