After the game J Drew and I went home. When we got there he was fast asleep in the backseat so I got out and put my purse on my shoulder. I then got him out the car and carried him inside the house. After locking the door behind me I hung my purse up then carried him to his room as I hummed and rubbed his back.
My sisters get on me because they think I baby him too much, but he is my baby and my only son so I think get to baby him for however long I want.
I laid him down and took his shoes off then took his shirt off leaving him in shorts and a tank top. I pulled the covers on him and kissed his forehead before I walked out his room. I left the door cracked some and made my way to my room that was on the other end of the hall. I began my night routine changing into my pajamas and putting my hair up into a ponytail. I went into the bathroom and washed my face. After washing my phone I heard my phone ringing. I stepped out of the bathroom and checked the time it was 11:00 at night.
I quickly made my way to my purse nervous it is was a call about Kierra.
I rummaged through my purse for a minute until I found it. I answered it before it hung up.
- 𝐎𝐦𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 -
"Hello?"
"Um...is this Karen?"
"Yes this is she? Who is this?"
"It's Allen...Allen Iverson."
"Oh...Hi, I was expecting you to call so soon."
"I know I'm sorry. I hope this isn't too much I just kept thinking about you and just wanted to call you before you may have fallen asleep."
"No, you're okay. Thanks again for giving my son that autograph and I didn't get to tell you earlier but congratulations on your big win tonight."
"Thanks Karen." Karen smiled ear to ear at the way he said her name. She made her way back to her room and on her way she peeked into J Drew's room then made her way into her's. She closed the door behind her and sat on the bed as her and Allen began to talk about any everything that came to mind.
It's been a while since Karen has talked to anyone. She was so devoted to being there for her kids she wasn't worried about giving someone else her attention. But right now she was enjoying the conversation her and Allen were having.
Allen and Karen continued to talk like they've know each other for years.
"So Allen, You seeing anybody?"
"Nah." Is all he said. It was a moment of silence before Allen spoke again. "You seein somebody?"
"Nah." Is all Karen said making Allen chuckle.
"Can I take you out to dinner tomorrow night?"
Karen was quiet for a second then she answered him. "I would love that Allen." She softly spoke.
"I know it's late and a pretty woman like you needs to get her sleep so I'll call you tomorrow."
Karen blushed a little at his comment. "I'll talk to you tomorrow Allen." She said and hung up her phone sitting it on her nightstand. She laid back with a smile on her face. She couldn't wait for tomorrow night.

"Mommy why can't you tell me who you're getting all pretty for?" J Drew whined as he sat on Karen's lap and watched her through the mirror.
Karen was in her bathroom putting on her makeup getting ready for Allen and her's date.
"Because J Drew- "
"Because it's none of your business." Kierra said as she walked into the bathroom with her hand on her hip.
"Nobody was talking to you!" J Drew yelled.
"Alright you two stop! It will be none of that tonight. Y'all need to be good for your Aunt Twinkie."
"Yes ma'am." They both said J Drew got off of Karen's lap and Karen stood up. She looked herself over and sprayed her favorite perfume.
"What do y'all think." She looked at Kierra and J Drew as she did a little 360 for them.
"You look pretty Mommy." Kierra said.
J Drew just folded his arms.
"J say Mommy is pretty and stop being a brat."
"Mommy you're really pretty tonight."
"Thank you my babies." She kissed Kierra on the forehead then she kissed J Drew's cheek. She wiped his cheek and her forehead with her thumb to get the lipstick mark she had left on them.
"Karen, He's Here!" She heard Twinkie say.
"Okay I'm coming!" She said back to her. "Okay be good and I'll be home before it's bedtime." She said to them then walked out the bathroom and then her room. The kids were on her heels trying to keep up with her.
Karen opened the door and there he was, In a all black suit, he looked good and smelt good.
"Hi." Is all she could say. She was already super nervous with going out with him.
"Hi." He said back and smiled. "These are for you." He handed her a bouquet of flowers.
"These are lovely Allen." I sniffed them and smiled.
"You two get out of here. I'll put these in some water while you're gone. Go have fun and you watch after my sister." Twinkie said as she took the flowers from Karen and pushed her out the door.
Karen and Allen laughed nervously. Then he took her hand and walked her to his car. He opened the door to his black BMW and helped her in then he walked around the car and got in too.
"Your car is so nice Allen."
"Thank you, I just got it a few months ago." He said to her and turned on the radio. The song Stranger In My Life by Marvin Gaye began to play. He pulled out of her drive way and they rode off into the city.
