Chapter 10

"Well done Matt." Blake said smoothly.

"What? Was that sarcasm or were you actually complimenting me on how I found our fourth and final Elementhunter?"

"Neither." He walked over to the red haired girl. "Why don't you introduce her to us?"

"Well then, this is CAT of the Ignis element." He gestured to her. "CAT, this is Blake Thatcher of the Aeris element; and this is Jade Cavelleri of the Aqua element."

"Nice to meet you." I said.

"Just to point out," CAT spoke with a deep but annoying voice, "my name is spelt with capital letters. It stands for something."

"What does it stand for?" Blake asked.

"Hey!" I elbowed him in the ribs. "Sorry about him. He can get a bit obnoxious sometimes."

"A bit?" Matt scoffed.

I glare at him. "Were you just giving CAT a tour?"

"Yeah, I was."

"Do you mind if I take over?"

"Don't you have training?" Blake reminded me.

"It'll only take a little while. Please?" I begged him.

"Whatever. Be back in less than an hour." He rolled his eyes.

"So how did Matt find you today?" I asked.

"How did Blake find you?" She replies.

"You're one of those people aren't you?" I huffed.

"Oh, you mean amazing?" She gushed innocently. "I take pride in that."

"Ugh." I groaned. "No! I mean annoying. Please don't tell me I have to live with you for the rest of my life."

"Yup! Probably."

We rounded the corner to the bedroom's corridor. We approached my door and I decided to show her inside.

"So, this is my room." I opened the door and gestured her inside. I was so glad that I cleaned it up this morning. Even though Ms Dunce does a weekly check-up.

"Wow!" CAT breathed. "This is so amazing! Do you just go for a daily swim or something?"

"Um, no. Has Matt told you that Hunters' have powers?" I asked.

"No." CAT smiles. "But Chief Thatcher showed me. I wish I could do that."

"You will be able to. Although I have no idea how and when. Remind me to ask Matt or Blake about that."

"Wait," She paused, "I thought you've lived here your whole life."

"Oh no, I actually arrived here just over two weeks ago." I replied. "Why don't we go see your room then?"

"Sure!"

I closed my bedroom door behind and tried to remember which room the Ignis hunter's room was. Once I had figured it out, (the one to the right of my room) I opened the door to her cosy room. It was my second time I had been in there, the first was during my tour but I barely remembered what it had looked like.

The theme of CAT's room was fire, unsurprisingly. The walls were orange and grey and there was plenty of red and hot pink adorning the bright whites. A white desk sat on one side with a low table covered in food and drinks. On another wall there was a small alcove with multi-coloured shelves and drawers; on top of the drawers was a nice couch with pillows that matched all of the wonderful colours around the room. The bed had a red and pink patterned quilt. There was also a small pull out bed underneath. And on top of all that, there was of course a five by five metre fireplace. No doubt for her to practice her powers with in the future.

"AWESOME!" CAT rushed forward to jump on her bed.

"Hmm..." I was deep in thought. "Have you seen the living room yet?"

"No, but I want to stay here." She runs over to the couch and sinks down into it. "Ahhhhh...." She sighs. "I could sleep here forever. Could you, Jade? Hmmmm..."

"Ugh. CAT get up!" I yelled. "I need to finish the tour quickly so I can get back to training."

"No." She pouted her lips up at me.

I decided to literally yank her out of her room. "CAT, I need a bit of help here!"

"Humph." She groaned.

Reaching the door I pulled it open and propped CAT up on the wall. "Stop acting like a baby."

"Miaow?"
