We were walking outside of the car park. "That phone box, we gotta get into it. I don't have my key though. I must have somehow lost it." I say sadly.
Sally stops and I almost walk into her. She shuffles through her pocket. "Is this it?" My eyes go wide.
"Yes! Where's you get it?"
"I found it at the House same as I found you. Let's go!" Sally says, we run back to the Car park, but the Tardis and Billy are both gone.
Sally's phone rings. "Hello? Billy, where are you? Where?" Sally says. We head to the hospital.
We walk into a room. In the bed is a very old man.
"Billy?" Sally says. The man wakes up.
"It was raining when we met." He said.
Sally smiles sadly. "It's the same rain."
Later Billy showed us pictures of his wedding and his life. I smiled.
"She looks nice." I said.
"Her name was Sally." He said.
Sally smiled. "Sally Shipton." She said.
"Sally Shipton. I often thought about looking for you before tonight, but apparently it would've torn a hole in the fabric of space and time, and destroyed two thirds of the universe. Also, I'd lost my hair." He said.
"Two thirds, where'd you get that from?" Sally asked. I already knew though.
Both Billy and I said, "The Doctor."
Billy smiled and continued. "He sent me with a message for you, both of you. Oh, I learned a lot about you Melanie. The Doctor is certainly fond of you." He said smiling.
I smiled at him. "What was the message" I ask.
"Just this. Look at the list." He said.
"What list?" Sally asked.
"He said you'd have it by now. A list of the seventeen DVDs. I didn't stay a policeman back then. Got into publishing. Then video publishing. Then DVDs, of course." He continued.
"Have you noticed what they all have in common yet?" He asks.
"How would the Doctor have even known we had a list? We only just got this." Sally asked.
"I asked him how, but he said he couldn't tell me. He said you'd understand it one day, but that I never would." He said, I frowned. The poor guy.
"Soon as I understand it, I'll come and tell you." Sally said hopefully.
Billy gave her a sad smile. "No, Gorgeous girl, you can't. There's only tonight. He told me all those years ago that we'll only meet again this one time. On the night I die..."
I gulp. "Oh Billy." Sally says sadly. I try my best not to get emotional.
"It's kept me going. I'm an old, sick man. But I've something to look forward to. Ah, life is long, and you are hot. Oh, look at my hands. They're old man's hands. How did that happen?" He said, I smiled sadly at him. I really kinda liked the guy.
"We'll stay. We're going to stay with you, okay?" Sally says. I nod. "Yeah." Sally is holding his hand. I go to the other side.
"Thank you, Sally Sparrow. You too Melanie Tyler. I have till the rain stops." He said. We sat there for hours.
*******************
The only thing left in the room now was the empty bed and Sally and I.
I pat her on the shoulder. "You okay?" She nods. We stay there a few more minutes and then leave.
