Chapter 8

~||Izuku's P.O.V||~

{Warning: There will be cringey parts, I'm not that good at writing scenes with angsty affection}

Their relationship is no secret, Dabi can't hide stuff like that for the non-life of him. He pushes past the group who already turned around and sees Hawks lying down, dead. He stands still for a bit before the others back away from him and I knew that he was upset and needed a moment. He then walks over to him and kneels next to him before putting his head on his bed and sobbing. It really hurt to see him this upset, but I understood why. I was just doing this exact thing minutes before. We all stay in silence and when Dabi finally calms down, Shoto asks a question

"What was that...?" he asks

"Did Dabi know him or something?" asks Shigaraki

"Yeah... Wait, did none of you know?" I ask

"Know what?" asks Kurogiri

"They were dating" I reply

"WHAT?!" screams Toga

"Shuuuusssshhh" I say, exaggerating the word. Then Shoto walks up to him and puts a hand on his shoulder trying to comfort him. We all stand there as to not crowd him and let them have another sibling moment, when I hear a noise behind me. I look behind me already acting in case it was a doctor or anyone we knew, but instead, another surprise enters my day

"Uh... guys..." I mutter signaling to where I'm looking. They all turn around except for Dabi to look

"We're... not hallucinating... right?" asks Iida unsure

"No. Dabi, look" responds Shoto. Dabi picks up his head and looks and sees the same thing as us, Hawks {Wow, surprising I know}

"Kei?" he asks, kind of surprising me, even though I've known about this for a long time. He then runs to Hawks and hugs him making Hawks look a bit shocked at the sudden show of endearment

"Woah, are you alright? Why were you crying?" he asks hugging back

"You... you died and I didn't think I'd ever see you again!" he exclaims quietly

"Died? What are you talking about?" he asks. Then they release the hug and Dabi moves out of the way to show him his dead body. "I- I'm dead?" he whispers

"Hey, don't worry! We're all dead too!" exclaims Toga making Hawks even more shocked

"Toga!" I exclaim elbowing her

"When-" Hawks began to ask questions when Tenko interrupted him

"Okay, how about we deal with this angsty stuff when we get to the base? For now, we have to figure out what to do with him" he explains referring to Hawks. "Do you want to be officially announced dead or do you want to pretend to be saved by a miracle?"

Hawks stands there thinking for a minute, and I could understand why. He was living his best life, but he was also a prisoner.

"I want to stay dead" he says after thinking for a while

"Okay, thank you. We all can cover what happened today another time, but we have to go before we get caught. We can explain everything that's happening to you though" explains Kurogiri. He then creates a portal, and everyone walks through except for Iida, Shoto, and I. Shoto gets back on his bed and we all talk until his family comes to pick him up. I walk with them to the check out and while they're doing that, he looks at me sadly. He then comes up and hugs me before returning with his family. I sigh when they leave and head back to the dorms. I don't know when he'll come back, but if I had a gist of Endeavors personality, I'd say he'd be back soon.

Iida had already left while we were talking so it was just me on this walk. It gave me time to think about everything that happened today and process it which was helpful. In the end, I ended up back at the dorms and the rest of the day was normal, only more people I knew were dead.
