Hey guys!
So I've really been wanting to make a werewolf book, and here it is.
The thing I wanted to say before we start, is that I'm not going to be making a cast. Just imagine your own characters haha.
Also, it's a bit short because it's the first chapter, but trust me, not all will be like this.
Thanks!

Laying on the soft, green grass in the woods was my ideal Sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful spring day and the birds thought so too. Birds were singing and chirping from all directions as I lay on the grass watching the sky as the clouds moved fast.
The wind started to pick up and lifted my dress up a bit. Placing my hands over my blue and white poka-dot dress, I closed my eyes.
My whole body relaxed. My wolf settled and dozed off. Just as I was about to doze off myself, someone started talking to me through the pack link.
'Amber, please come home now. We have to talk about something.' My father said.
'Yes father.' I replied slowly.
I didn't want to leave. This was the one place I could come and think and be myself. It doesn't take long for me to relax here.
I push myself up. Because I'm so far away from the pack house, I decide to shift and run back.
Walking behind a tree, I strip out of my clothes and shift.
Hearing my bones cracking and rearranging is something I am used of by now. So whenever I'm training, or fighting, and I hear someone's bone crack, I don't feel sick or dizzy like most females. It's completely normal. But wolves hardly ever break bones when training because it's training, not an actual battle.
Sometimes other wolves would try and bribe me into not fighting with them.
But it never worked on me.
I loved training. I loved fighting rogues that had come into our territory. Although my parents didn't like me fighting, they let me. Apparently I might be alone and suddenly get ambushed, resulting in me needing skills to fight.
I grab my clothes with my mouth.
After adjusting to my paws (it gets me every time) I start running home.
As much as I loved fighting, or laying down in the woods, I loved running in my wolf form. Watching the colours of the woods flash past me makes me feel indestructible. Feeling the earth underneath my paws was a feeling no one could ever replace.
Before I reached the clearing, I shift back into my human form before getting dressed back into my dress. After the whole, bones cracking and rearranging thing, of course. I made it to the clearing where the pack house is. I walk towards the main building, where the alpha and Luna lived, along with their family.
Beta's lived in a big house too, almost as big as the alpha's. Our beta is a pretty strong guy with a nicely built body, named mark. He's a really good vice-leader and is respected by all pack members. His mate is a beautiful woman with long auburn hair and sparkling hazel eyes.
Unfortunately, my parents think that my mate is dead, because 17 is the normal age for meeting your mate. I'm 20, so a lot of people doubt that I even have one. But I'm not losing hope. He might just be, um, busy?
'Busy enough to not care about finding his mate? Are you kidding me? He's probably an alpha that's busy running his pack.' Scarlet, my wolf, purred in delight.
'Doubt it.' I mutter back to her.
She snaps at me and stops talking.
She can be a real pain in the ass sometimes!
She definitely has high hopes for our mate. For all I know, he could be the weakest wolf in the pack.
Once I reach the main house (my house), I knock on the wooden door.
My older brother, John, opens the door with his mate, Tanesha. The reason they haven't moved out yet is because they're going to live here when John becomes alpha.
"Hey, mum and dad are waiting in the living room." He said, closing the door with a huge slam behind me.
What was his problem?
I saw a huge rage in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared as Tanesha calmed him down by shushing him and kissing his jaw.
Yeah, they're really touchy.
But that's what I want. A mate who just needs my touch to calm him down. A mate who needs my touch to reassure I'll always be there for him.
I just nod at Tanesha who gave me a small smile, a smile that was sad and disappointed.
Did I do something wrong?
I think as I watch my brother and his mate disappear upstairs.
Slowly I walk to the living room.
Mum and dad are sitting on the couch with a man talking to them on the single couch. I couldn't recognize the man, but from his scent, I could tell he was apart of our pack.
So what's he doing here?
"Sweetie, why don't you come sit down?" Mum asks politely. I can see the guilt in her eyes. Whereas my father was emotionless.
"What's going on? Who is this?" I ask, sitting down. I looked at the man. He looked upset and hurt that I don't know who he is.
"This is Malcolm. He is in charge of the weapons in our pack. Um, honey, he may be 30 years old, but he is a wonderful and respectable man." Dad says calmly, still emotionless as a rock.
"This is the man we have arranged for you to marry." Mum bursts out.
I freeze.
No. This can't be happening. I still have to find my mate. Not marry a man I don't even like, let alone know!
"No! Hell no! I still have to find my mate and plus, he's a 30 year old man! I'm 20! You guys know how important this is to me!" I outburst, standing up and storming out the room.
"Honey! Come back here!" I hear mum shout.
I didn't listen though. Wanting to be alone, I run towards the woods again, tears streaming down my face. Scarlet was whimpering.
'I can't marry him. His wolf wasn't made for me!' She whimpers.
'I know, I'm coming up with a plan. We are not marrying that man!' I whimper back.
As soon as I get to the end of the clearing, I go behind a tree and shift. Not forgetting to grab my clothes in my mouth before running deep into the woods.
