// I'll delete the extremely rough version of this story (Two humans, one vampire, what could go wrong?) once this chapter has been released which is well, now.

Hailey's POV

"Babe, the hospital won't do anything. They'll think you are crazy." I told Heather, before she let out a deep sigh,  "Yeah, you're right. Sorry for my over-reaction. Let's just get some sleep, forget this ever happened, alright?" she asked me before I watched her rub the bite mark with her hand, pulling it away to see that it wasn't bleeding. "Fucking weird..." she mumbled to herself as she then walked past me, and walked upstairs to our bedroom. I followed her, worried out of my mind for her. I watched her undress and slipped her navy blue night shirt over her head, smoothing it down afterwards and got into the bed, letting out another deep sigh. I resisted on asking her the dumbest question in the world, 'Are you okay?' or 'Is it painful?'.

So, I took off my day clothes and put on my black night shirt, and got into bed with Heather. "Whatever happens tomorrow, Hailey, if I die because of this weird bite, just know that I'll always be with you in my ghostly form." she told me. I leaned forward and kissed her cheek, then wrapped my arm around her as if this really was a goodbye.

I closed my eyes, and began to sleep.

A few hours later, I woke up to see Heather standing at a body view mirror, stunned at her own reflection. I sat up and got out of the warm bed, walking over to her. I stopped behind her, looking over her shoulder to see what she was seeing. "My eyes." she said, "They aren't mine." she added. "O...Of course they are yours, they are just a bit..."

"Darker." she finished my sentence, before she turned around to face me. She brought her hand up to my cheek, caressing it. Her eyes were a darker brown now, when it was a light brown before the strange unknown bite. "We can get through this, babe." I told her, trying to brighten the mood up a bit. "I know. I love you." she told me back before I pressed my lips against hers softly in reassurance.

Surely nothing else will change...
