// THE BLOOD MOON RISES.... (sorry if something doesn't make sense in this chapter, still recovering from my laryngitis.)

Hailey's POV

I laid with Heather, who was still asleep until the whole room started to turn into a deep shade of red, like blood. I sat up, before I heard Heather begin to groan, finally waking up. "Something is happening, something is taking over me..." she told me, afraid. She took off the blanket that I gave her a hour ago, and saw how 'glittery' she was. "You need to get away from me, babe. She's coming to say hello again and it won't be a very nice hello either." she warned me, ordering me to go at the same time. I nodded, getting up from the bed and quickly put on a  light dressing gown, tying the belt up as I was rushing out of the bedroom to hide somewhere until this moon goes away or does something to itself. I hope it dies.

I walked down the hallway, away from the bedroom to spot a staircase leading up to the attic. I went up without any type of hesitation and opened the brown wooden door, pushing it open so I could hurry in there and closed the door quietly as I could to hopefully cause no disturbance. I then turned around to notice how dark and scary the attic was during the blood moon. It was getting hot too. So, I took off my dressing gown and let it pile up on the floor and the waiting began. I walked further into the attic and felt something cool touch the back of my neck, causing me to turn around to see nobody was there. Just me.

I went back towards the door, feeling the framed wall with my shaking hand until I found a light switch. I was about to turn it on until I heard their muffled voices under my feet.

"Where's our mate?" Elise asked Heather. "I don't want her to see me like this. It looks like I have a fucking illness. I'm dripping sweat." Heather replied. Okay, she sounded normal...that's a good sign...

"Why are you resisting?"

"I'm not resisting."

"Do you want me to help?"

"Help with what?"

"Help with finding our mate, of course, silly. It's quite important for her to be here."

"I know where she is. I can smell her. I can almost taste her...

Shit. She's back. She couldn't resist anymore. She gave in to her dark side and now she was hunting me down. Block the door. That was what I needed to do. Block the fucking door with something. And fast!

I flipped the light switch, finding out that the light bulb was dead. I went over to the door and put my back against it, only to feel the door slowly open. It was Heather. Damn, she was incredibly strong!

I let out a small whimper as I moved away from the door just before it suffocated me, and stood in front of Heather, raising my hands up. Then, she stepped into the attic with me, and closed the door behind her. We were both in the dark. And it was quite attractive...well, she was attractive.

Her eyes glowed a deep shade of lustful red with a tint of hypnotic purple. She was breathing heavily, before she leaned forward and pressed her lips against mine.

Deeply.
