Hailey's POV

I immediately regretted yelling that sentence, but I couldn't help it. I let out a few sobs, before I calmed down and got up from the bed, only to sit down on the floor in front of the door. I then waited, and waited until it had been about two hours. My bum was sore, but I didn't care. I just wanted to be let out. Then, I heard footsteps coming towards me, watching the door unlock and open, revealing Heather.

I moved up onto my knees in silence, begging for her forgiveness. "I'm sorry for what I yelled. I'm sorry for saying that I didn't love the new you and that I loved the old you. It will take some time to getting used to, Heather. I love you, I really do love you." I blurted out, half of the sentence was replaced with my voice cracking. I watched her go down to my level and grabbed my hands gently, before she stood me up and sat me down on the bed. "I'm glad that you learnt a valuable lesson, babe." she told me, "To not mess with a vampire's emotions." I said, watching her nod. "That's correct. Now, I want you to get yourself tidied up and then we will go downstairs together so you can properly meet Elise. She's looking very forward to meeting you." Heather told me, her voice was soothing me down.

"Okay. I'll get ready now." I told her before I did so.

Half an hour later, I went downstairs with Heather and followed her into the living room. Elise was sitting on a black sofa, watching her pat down a spot next to her. I bit my bottom lip, looking down as I hesitantly sat next to her. "I love your blood scent." her first words were.

"What the fuck is a blood scent?" I asked her, "Humans have all types of different scents. The sweetest is vanilla, the sourest is lemon. You smell like vanilla which is the best. Anyway, it's nice to finally meet you." she replied. Finally meet me?

She somehow knew me even though I've only seen her yesterday in her worst state?

I leaned back against the sofa, crossing my legs and crossed my arms. Why was I like this? Was I really that scared of Elise?

"I'm sorry that you saw us in that state." she apologised. "Apology accepted..." I said back. This was fucking awkward now.

"Can I go now, babe?" I turned to Heather, who only made this awkward situation more awkward by uncrossing my legs so she could sit down on my lap. Elise chuckled, brushing my blonde hair away from my face, exposing my neck...

"She's going to have another nibble..." Elise chuckled at me, mixed with a purr.

"And then I'm going to take care of you in our bedroom..." Heather purred.
