Aspen's pov
We spent the rest of day talking and simply hanging around. Ser was still outside, I just hope he comes back soon. I looked out of the window and saw that the sun had started to set. "I'll get your crossbows now.""Finally I have at least some kind of weapon again." I smiled. "Do you want to go with me to the basement or do you want to stay here?"
"Why not take a look at it." The stairs which lead to their rooms disappeared and we went downstairs. "Whisky barrels.. Of course."
"Yes, they're gifts."
"For yourself?"
"No. I usually use them for celebrations. I mainly drink out of bottles or glasses, not the barrels." I walked to the table where I put the crossbows on and picked them up. "You have many different weapons but none of which we use in our world."
"Well I don't like guns. A bow or crossbow is fine but I rather use weapons with blades."
"Why? A gun is much more precise and easier to handle as well."
"For me it's the opposite. I like close combat."
"Did you ever use one?"
"I couple of times. I had to use a sniper in an undercover mission once and I didn't like the feeling of it."
"To be honest, neither did I when I started sniping but I had no choice but to adapt and now I love it."
"They literally have to force me to snipe. Otherwise I would never touch a sniper."
"Who are they?"
"Good friends who I sometimes help. Maybe I don't like it so much cuz I'm good at it even though I never practiced sniping."
"I suppose I learned it very quickly but it's not my favorite thing to do. I'll show you when you can visit my world."
"Sure. But we should head back upstairs."
"Don't you want to grab a weapon too?"
"I can just teleport it into my hands or I'll create one with my shadows."
"I can usually summon my weapons too but it doesn't work here, not like anything does. Though, it's strange that the drug worked normally."
"You're right it's definitely odd." We headed back upstairs and Ser was back. "I see that you got our weapons. I can't wait." I sighed and threw the crossbow at him. I handed the other one to OG. "Can't we start now already? I'm getting impatient, besides a few hours earlier won't make a big difference."
"No."
"Okay fine.. No need to get all snappy."
"We can go there already and wait. Maybe Azil will be there too."
"Why, you want to get rid of him too?"
"No. We'll try to heal him from his curse."
"I see. Well then let's go." We went outside. We walked passed the park where I usually spend my time to relax. "We're almost there." We continued to walk until we reached the battlefield. It's empty and cold. "Now we'll have to wait."
"This at least looks like a place to battle."
"Yeah. Sometimes people practice their fighting skills or learn about new ones." I smiled.
"We do that wherever we see fit. We don't exactly have a place for it but many people like the beach because it's an open field." said Ser
"I don't like open fields for battles. You can't hide anywhere, or rather no one was able to hide from me." I looked away in shame
