Precognition (five x reader)

                                    "The Man"

I bend forward as far as my restraints will allow to cough up the water, "thank you"
"What?" The man asks clutching the cloth he just removed from my face
I tilt my head up to him, "One of these times I'm going to become a mermaid"

He pulls out a box cutter and slits my cheek, "Next time it'll be one of your fingers. I want to know what you know about Five"
"I already told you: nothing. Why do you assume I know anything?"
"I saw you talking to him"
"Can't a girl just get an autograph?" I pause and smile "He's pretty cute." If I wasn't trying to get out of this mess I'd probably laugh. I'd rather eat my own foot then call Five cute.

"I've spotted you with him multiple times, I know you have the information I want." the man says using the cloth to wipe his blade
I shrug nonchalantly "that's just a coincidence, I'm more concerned about the fact that you're clearly stalking a 16 year old"
"Didn't your father ever tell you not to give personal information to strangers?"
"I mean I assumed you already knew my age, and that I don't have a father"

He puts the cloth back on my face and dumps more water. He's been doing this for what feels like hours, when will he realize it's not working? When he removes it I again pull on the restraints to cough up the water.
"Tell me about five" he repeats for the millionth time

I sigh three, two, one-
The door burst open and five charges at the man before he even has time to turn around. After the man is taken care of, he unties my arms.
I rub my wrists "took you long enough"
He rolls his eyes "sorry I kept you waiting. I'm sure you were so worried."

"I wasn't worried. I knew you were coming"
He runs his hand through his hair just like he always had when he's frustrated "Just because you have precognition doesn't mean you just shouldn't care if someone kidnaps you"

"Has it ever occurred to you" I  say as i wipe away the warm blood that had pooled on my cheek "that I wouldn't get kidnapped if you didn't make so many enemies, or if I wasn't at all affiliated with the academy"
"Sorry, next time I'll say 'can you not kidnap my sibling's friends please?'" he says sarcastically
"This is only the first time, you'll get it right next time" I retort
"Don't you even care how I found you?"
"Not particularly"
"You've been missing for two days"

I ignore his remark and exit the building into the bright late afternoon sun. "Can I come over for a while?"
"If I say no you're going to come anyway"
"Thanks" I pause "but like seriously how are you getting me in this much trouble when we aren't even friends?"

He scoffs, "I know eventually you'll annoy them so much they'll pay us to take you back"
"Can you see now why nobody likes you?"
"I hate you."

After walking for a few miles we arrive at the academy.
"Diego!" I shout as I enter the house "Your brother almost got me killed!"

Ben pokes his head around the corner. We had never really talked  because he's so shy, but I like him, he seems nice.
"Diego isn't home right now" Ben tells me

"Oh no, your boyfriend isn't here" Five says just loudly enough to hear
I kick my foot back into his shin "shut up" no matter how many times I tell him we aren't dating he always makes a comment, "you and I both know it's not like that"
"Shouldn't you know he's not here anyway Miss I knew you were coming?"
I roll my eyes. He always has something to say.

"Are you ok?" Ben asks noticing the gash on my cheek
"Just dandy, this loser got me kidnapped" I say pointing at Five
Ben nods awkwardly, "you'd be safer if you joined the academy"
"No"
they'd all offered before, except Five, but I  just don't want to. Besides, I'm happy with the way things are; I'm friends with them, but Sir Reginald didn't own me like he did them.

"Want to come with Klaus and I?" Ben asks warmly
"Yeah, do you think miss Grace could give me a bandaid?"
"Of course" Ben says grabbing my hand and leading me away
