Arthur Leywins POV
Its been three years since Sylvie and I made our way to the home of the Asura. I honestly can't wait to return home. I miss Tess and my parents; I didn't leave on the best terms with my parents. And I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to Tess. I didn't like how I left things with her, we got drunk one night and slept together, I didn't want it to happen like that. And we never had the proper chance to talk about it.
I turned and saw Lady Myre walking into the courtyard holding Sylvie.
"So are you ready to return home," she asked.
I nodded "I am," I said walking over to take Sylvie from her.
"Well since you have said your goodbyes, farewell Arthur and good luck."
I watched as she opened a portal "this should take you directly to the Floating Castle."
I nodded and bowed "thank you lady Myre."
Sylvie and I stepped through the portal, I found myself in the familiar corridors of the Floating Castle. I looked around not finding a single person in sight, where is everyone? I made my way down the first corridor seeing if I could sense anyone's mana, I wasn't expecting to find Aya upside down encased in vines what the hell?
I cut her free and after a few minutes she woke up she looked up at me with curious eyes.
"What happened, is there an intruder in the Castle?" I asked trailing off.
She chuckled "the Lances are playing a game of war against a 3-year-old, its been well interesting"
I tilted my head a game of war against a three-year-old? And how is she shrugging it off like it is normal?
She stood up and brushed off her uniform.
"Well since I am eliminated, let's go see how that little monster deals with Mica and Varay."
I had no choice but to follow her we made it to a large training room, Mica it seems was out of commission knocked out and restrained by vines. Varay on the other hand, was fighting someone that was teleporting at random times and delivering fast attacks I could barely follow.
I watched in amazement Varay was fighting a boy no older than three, although she was physically keeping up with the speed of his impossible attacks, she was getting tired. The boy teleported mid air Varay held her sword made of ice to block the attack, only for the sheer force to shatter her sword. How is a kid that physically strong? I figured she would conjure another weapon, but she kneeled on the ground panting.
"Fine Cathan you win this round," she said.
The boy smirked victorious, then frowned "sorry auntie Varay are you okay?"
Varay nodded and the boy helped her up his hand glowed silver
"What did you do?" Varay asked confused.
"I just restored some of your energy no Biggy," he replied.
The boy somewhat intrigued me, he had unique abilities. It was at that moment I got a good look at him sliver almost white hair and golden eyes, I noticed his small, pointed ears not like a full-blooded Elf, meaning he was half human.
The wheels in my brain began turning this boy was half elf, living in the floating castle can defeat white core mages. Has a striking resemblance to Tess he is three years old, three almost four years ago Tess and I holy My vision became blurry I strained my eyes trying to stay awake as black spots clouded my vision, voices became muffled as my body was weightless then darkness.
